We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our management team with responsibility for overseeing, leading and supporting the operations and performance of the Finance and IT team.

The ideal candidate will be performance driven, and will demonstrate role flexibility, proficient IT skills, excellent communication, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills. An accounting qualification is essential and significant demonstrable experience of financial accounting is essential.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management of a small staff team (finance, IT and debt management)
  • Fostering a proactive team culture that demonstrates ownership and ensures the successful delivery and achievement of operational and performance standards in support of the corporate objectives of GWHA and its commercial subsidiary Glasgow West Enterprises.
  • High level of technical knowledge and experience, focus on compliance, risk management and co-ordination of team performance.

Key Tasks:

  • Operational leadership and direction of Finance and IT Team activities and performance.
  • Financial management and planning; compliance with internal financial controls
  • Treasury management policy implementation.
  • Annual Accounts/Audit preparation
  • Budget Preparation
  • Risk Management including fraud and cyber risk.
  • Contributing to the development of the Corporate strategy and leading on policy/procedures/KPIs, mitigating risk and ensuring compliance with governance, regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Promote innovation in ICT, contribute towards strategy and overseeing systems/software implementations.
  • Leading the preparation of Governing Body reports to ensure compliance and informed decision making.
