What we are looking for....
We are looking for individuals who can integrate seamlessly into our existing team, working alongside it and relief adults to support excellent service delivery. We are looking for a Residential Worker to work 37.5 hours per week on a residential rota including early, late, waken nights, sleepovers and weekend shifts. You will have a knowledge and understanding of the importance of attachment, trauma and how this can impact on an individual’s development. At times our children express their distress through their behaviour and the role can be emotionally and physically challenging; we are therefore looking for someone who is resilient, understands that behaviour is a means of communication and is trauma responsive.
You will be skilled in building therapeutic relationships with the children, young people and young adults to enable them to feel safe, loved and cared for.
You must have the ability to quickly build your relationships with the adults within the house. The nature of the role is such that you could be working to cover a shift or longer periods as required, including days and wakened nightshifts and you may also be supporting young people to attend school or participate in other learning programmes. You must therefore be able to quickly adapt to the working environment within each house.
You will be comfortable with working within Aberlour’s culture embracing respect, integrity, innovation and the ability to challenge. Demonstration of these qualities will be particularly important in this role given that you will be dipping in and out of the different teams. You must be able to be an exceptional role model for other staff and the young person.
Undertaking the role of Residential Worker will afford you the opportunity to develop and build on a range of transferrable skills which are valued in a range of employment. The Anchor Highland Cash Back Service is a community-based hub in Inverness, with a targeted, assertive outreach response team focusing on individuals subjected to exploitation aged primarily 13 to 18.

The Anchor Highland is part of a wider Highland partnership and therefore the post holder will need to be innovative, an excellent communicator and have the ability to work effectively with partners to meet service outcomes.
The post holder will be required to work evenings and weekends as part of service delivery on a rolling rota. The Hub is closed every Tuesday and Sunday. Shifts will start no earlier than 12 noon and end no later than 10.30pm e.g shifts could be 12pm to 8pm or 3pm to 10:30pm.

About Sycamore and the role…
The Aberlour Sycamore Services are based across Fife and are widely recognised in Scotland for providing quality therapeutic residential and education services for some of the most vulnerable young people in Scotland.
Each home requires a range of staff to provide a safe and loving environment for the young people living there. Our Service Administrators play a key role in helping staff and managers navigate IT systems, keep basic suppliers in order, provide general day to day administrative support, oversee petty cash and assist with pulling together information for reports and meetings.

We are looking to recruit a Service Administrator to work 24 hours per week at our Frankfield House in Kirkcaldy. These hours will be worked Monday – Friday during office hours, days and times to be agreed
Ideally you will have administrative experience gained through working within a busy office or social care environment. About Options Ayrshire
In addition to us having a short residential breaks service, our Out of School Club is based outside of Ayr within a building at Mosshill Industrial Estate.
We offer a safe, nurturing and explorative environment for young people to come and play either after school or on a Saturday morning that gives their families and/or carers a rest from their caring role. During that break, children enjoy a range of fun activities and experiences with our staff who specialise in taking care of children with additional support needs. In addition to this, we run a busy Easter and summer Holiday Activity Club which staff are encouraged to participate in also.
What we are looking for...
Working as part of the staff team you will ensure that the highest level of physical and emotional care is provided to the young people using the Out of School Club. Experience of working with this group of young people is highly desirable.
This post is for 20 hours per week, during term time (to include bank holidays and in-service days), with frequent opportunities to work additional hours if desired. Shifts are typically Tuesday – Friday, 2.30pm – 6.15pm, and 9.30am – 1.30pm on Saturdays. This post attracts a 5% unsocial hours allowance.
You will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council, and meet, or be prepared to gain, the qualifications requirements for this post which is at SCQF level 6 (for example, SVQ Level 3 or HNC).

Our aim is to provide families with a short break from their caring role through the provision of high-quality child-centred services which provide a positive experience for the young people we work with.

Our day usually starts with the morning routine. We support our young people to get ready for their day ahead, assisting with all aspects of personal care. We then prepare breakfast and medications as required for our young people and organise the day’s activities. We encourage choice and decision making for planning fun activities in the local community and beyond, assisting young people with communication and everyday tasks.
In the evenings, we organise in-house activities and enjoy relaxing with movies, sensory play and spending time with friends.

About Options Fife Lochwood Park
Aberlour Options Fife - Lochwood Park service, based in Kingseat, is a forever home for one young man who has complex needs. Our service is a safe space for not only our young man but for his family to spend meaningful time. Although there can be behaviours that challenge, it is the small steps of progress that this young person makes daily that makes our work meaningful. We are looking for someone to join our small team, who is a patient and understanding person. These are key skills for this role.
What we are looking for....
As someone who has built up experience working in residential childcare, you will have the confidence to guide and direct the provision of care for our young person.
When on shift, you will play a lead role, mentoring and supporting staff and being a role model, delivering excellence in the services we provide. You will assist in assessing, planning and delivering services, taking responsibility for ensuring that assessment and interventions are prepared, monitored and evaluated.
Engaging positively with our Young Person and their family you will plan and implement appropriate suppor. Sensitive and accurate reporting is a key responsibility and so you will have good written communication skills and the ability to learn how to use effectively, Aberlour’s recording system: Dynamics.
This role offers the opportunity to consolidate and build on your experience combined with the ability to enhance your skills and knowledge through training, for example, in Dyadic Developmental Practice.
As part of the management team you will play an active role in ensuring that shift duties are delegated and completed in accordance with service guidance. You will work 2 x 7.5 hour shifts per week as part of a Residential Rota.
Overnight sleep ins are part of the role, alongside an awake member of night staff.

Our Dumfries and Galloway Services provide support to young people and families throughout Dumfries and Galloway. Our support works alongside families using a strengths based approach within the community and families homes. Intensive Family Support
We help children, young people and families who are struggling to manage the challenges of day to life. They be affected by a range of issues, including drug and alcohol use. We support children from birth, and work alongside whole families. We are looking to recruit an Assistant Service Manager to join our team. You will work 37.5 hours per week, although you will be supporting the management of the service you will be expected to carry your own caseload. This post will be based between Stranraer and Dumfries, supporting families throughout the Dumfries and Galloway area. This post is initially offered on a fixed term basis until 31st March 2027, however we are actively seeking further funding to allow us to extend this contract.

We are looking for someone who will contribute to the leadership, management and development of the service for children, young people and their families in line with agreed objectives and assist with service review and evaluation. You will hold a caseload and work alongside families, empowering them to lead positive change in their own lives.
We are looking for candidates who are experienced in working alongside vulnerable families to assess strengths and needs as well as plan, deliver and evaluate interventions and strategies which enable families to thrive. You will have experience of child and adult protection issues. About Aberlour Family Matters South Ayrshire
Aberlour Family Matters works in partnership with South Ayrshire Council and offers support to mums and dads who have had children permanently removed from their care. You will offer individual and group support alongside relationship based and strengths focused whole family support where appropriate. You will also work with South Ayrshire Council partners to ensure the voices and experiences of parents, carers and practitioners can help support the ongoing improvement of the permanence process. The project has been funded by Scottish Government since April 2022.
You will build up relationships with families facing disadvantage and work together with them to assess their strengths and needs and deliver an agreed family plan, offering emotional and practical support. You will work individually and in groups to strengthen health and wellbeing, building esteem, skills and confidence.

You will have experience in working alongside partner services and families who have often experienced the impact of trauma, poverty, and social exclusion. You will have good listening skills and be able to plan, deliver and evaluate a range of family and wellbeing support strategies which help families to their own solutions. About Options Ayrshire
Our Service is a busy respite care unit for children and young people with additional support needs, including complex learning and physical disabilities. As well as providing short residential breaks the service offers outreach to families and is also involved in the managing and running of an after school club as well as a busy Easter and Summer play scheme.
Based in a quiet, residential street in Prestwick, our disability support service offers a safe, homely environment for a child to come and stay for a short break that gives their families a rest from their caring role. During that break, children enjoy a range of fun activities and experiences with our staff who specialise in taking care of children with disabilities. Our service is very much a ‘home from home’ for the children who stay with us there.

As a Young People’s Worker you will play a fundamental role in ensuring that the young people you work with have the best possible experience in working towards their objectives, in line with their care plan, supporting children to progress within their individual outcomes. If you have an interest in working with young people, we would like to hear from you. We are looking for a Young People’s Worker to work part time (21 hours per week). These hours will be worked as part of a rolling rota. They will be worked evenings, mornings, weekends and public holidays. You may be expected to work the occasional night shift or sleepover.
Ideally, candidates will have social care experience, an understanding of autism, complex needs and disability. You will hold, or be willing to work towards, a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above (for example: SVQ 3 in Care plus an HNC) together with relevant experience of working with children or young people. You must also be able to demonstrate awareness of the key elements of working with people affected by disability as well as an understanding of, and commitment to, young people’s rights.

About Intensive Family Support Service
Our service supports families in the Dumfries and Galloway area who are struggling to cope. The families we work with may have a wide range of issues, which include drug and alcohol use within the family. As a Child and Family worker you would work directly with the whole family in various settings, such as their own homes, our dedicated base and other community locations.
You will be the trusted person they could talk about what they are going through at home. You whilst undertaking assessments to identify what support we can provide. You will work with the children and the family offering practical help, in the community, family home, liaising with partner agencies, schools and nurseries. Participate and lead group work sessions. Attending meetings, children’s hearings, school meetings & health appointments as required necessary. You will help establish routines and build life skills with families. Help families build parenting skills and confidence.

You should have a sound knowledge of child development and be able to work with parents either individually or in groups to develop their parenting skills & confidence.

About Bridges Partnership - Glasgow
The Bridges Partnership is jointly provided by Aberlour Glasgow Family Support Service and Shelter Scotland to provide support to mothers and their children living in the North East of Glasgow areas who are or have been affected by domestic abuse.
What we are looking for....
We are looking for a Child and Family Worker to join our team, working 37.5 hours per week. As this post includes an unsocial hours allowance, you are required to be flexible with your approach and available to work weekends, evenings and public holidays to meet the needs of the families you would support.
As a Child and Family Worker within our Bridges Partnership project you will;
· Undertake risk assessment and work to develop safety plans
· Advocate in statutory meetings, court settings and with other agencies on behalf of women and children who have or are experiencing domestic abuse.
· Using the safe and together model, you will develop reports to be used in courts in relation to civil and criminal proceedings.
· Work in partnership with the parents, either on a 1:1 basis or in groups to enhance their parenting skills and build their confidence
· Work with children and parents in a therapeutic and trauma-based approach to help them reach their full potential.
· Provide housing information and assistance
· Inform women and children of their rights
· Signposting and helping each mother to access additional services as needed.
You will have relevant experience and a sound knowledge of domestic abuse and the impact on the children and adult survivor and relevant theory in attachment and parenting. You should be able to demonstrate an understanding and commitment to women and children’s rights. You will hold a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above. It is desired that you are IDDA trained or are willing to work towards this.
