What we are looking for...
Due to the postholder’s retirement this is an exciting opportunity to join our team.
You will play a key role in leading and delivering the best care and support for children. As an experienced leader you will work with key strategic partners in Moray and Highlands to design and deliver services and models of care that offer the required support for children, young people and families.
You will oversee the leadership and management of our established services including our registered disability residential and respite service, our community youth support service both located in Elgin and our service for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children based in Inverness. You will also work with commissioners to identify future needs and growth opportunities.
You will have demonstrable management level experience in social care within the public, private or voluntary sector. You will thrive on building positive relationships with commissioners, local government, NHS, other third sector partners and trusts to identify opportunities for growth and additional funding. You will also be driven to influence local and national strategy, policy and practice to the benefit of vulnerable people.
You will hold a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 9 or above plus a management qualification at SCQF level 8 or above.

About Aberlour Youthpoint Moray
Our Youthpoint Moray service provides help to children and young people in Moray who may be struggling with their emotions and behaviour, prompting concerns about their well-being.
Aberlour Youthpoint Moray offers a range of services which works with young people aged 10-26 which include our Intensive Community Support and Early Help Services. In addition to these we have developed a YP-Zone, the purpose of this service is to improve the wellbeing, social integration and life chances of Young People affected by substance use in Moray.
These services are provided in a variety of ways, including 1 to 1’s, group work and family support.
What we are looking for....
We are seeking a passionate, creative and organised individual to join our team as a Volunteer Coordinator, working 30 hours per week. These hours will be worked during office hours with regular evening and weekend working. This role is currently funded for 12 months with the possibility of funding beyond this.
You will hold a relevant qualification at SCQF level 7 or above or equivalent knowledge acquired by other means.
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training and managing our volunteering and mentoring service as well mentoring a caseload of young people. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth running of our mentoring service. You will also be responsible for the development and expansion of our current volunteer and mentoring service. You will work within a variety of locations in the Moray area. The role will also involve liaising with partner agencies and regular travel throughout the Moray area is expected. A driving licence is essential for this role.

These services are provided in a variety of ways, including 1 to 1’s, group work and family support.
What we are looking for....
Our Young People’s Workers provide individual and group assessment and intervention programmes to Young People from various backgrounds. The role will also involve liaising with partner agencies and entering data into Aberlour’s case recording information system. Our Relief Young People’s Workers provide ad hoc cover when needed. Relief Young People’s Workers are a vital part of our team, helping to ensure that full cover is available throughout the year. This work is offered on a casual, hourly paid basis. Ideally, you will have experience of direct work with children and families.
