Fife International Forum is a leading, high-quality, and people-led charity with many years of experience working with migrant and refugee communities across Fife. We seek to tackle poverty, low levels of social mobility, employment difficulties, and other issues often faced by people who move away from their usual place of residence.
Our services and our volunteer network are growing; that's why we are looking for a full time Volunteer Coordinator to lead our team of volunteers and ensure that our programmes receive the volunteer support they need to run smoothly.
The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training, and motivating volunteers, as well as developing and implementing strategies to increase volunteer engagement. The Volunteer Coordinator will also be responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with partner and community organisations to ensure the success of our volunteer programmes.
The candidate will ideally have a background with relevant experience in Community Development. You'll have a proven track record of successful volunteer coordination and management within the third sector. You will relish the opportunity to lead, motivate and develop a team of volunteers and ideally, you'll have experience of mentoring and coaching people from international and minority ethnic communities.

Trustee Vacancy - Treasurer - Volunteer

We are expanding our staff team and looking for highly motivated and dynamic individuals to join our casework team. The roles will involve delivering a holistic information and support service, managing a caseload, and working in partnership with other voluntary sector organisations and local government.
Triage Administrators – full time Salary £20,130 (part-time pro rata)
Posts will be based in Kirkcaldy.
The post holder will work in partnership with colleagues, individuals, and families from international communities to:
- Provide reception cover, telephone, and email enquiries.
- Operate a triage service by conducting an initial assessment.
- Refer individuals for direct support internally and signpost to external organisations.
The roles require proficiency and confidence in using Microsoft packages and electronic case management systems. Experience of working with vulnerable individuals, ideally with ethnic minority communities. You will have a positive approach to equalities and human rights. Some experience of working with triage systems and case working principles would be advantageous. Successful applicants will be expected to have a good command of English both written and orally. Also, to have the ability to communicate effectively with people whose first language is not English. A willingness to develop through ongoing learning and reflective practice.

Posts will be based in Kirkcaldy but must be willing to travel throughout Fife.
The post holder will work in partnership with colleagues, individuals, and families from international communities to:
- Manage a diverse caseload, engaging with individuals, undertaking a full assessment supporting individuals to tackle the challenges faced.
- Empower people to develop confidence to make decisions about their future and to improve communication with support services.
- Develop case plans identify actions required and agree timelines. Monitor and evaluate progress towards achievement of goals.
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable for the role.

Fife Migrants Forum (FMF) is a registered Scottish charity serving as an information discovery point, primarily, but not exclusively, to members from migrant and ethnic minority communities in Fife.
FMF provides the following services: a multi-lingual advice and information service, advocacy and casework support, employability support, financial inclusion, personal development opportunities and community development. FMF also works in collaboration with mainstream service providers and other third sector organisations’ to provide tailored support to our client groups.
Based in our office in the Postings, Kirkcaldy, the main purpose of the job is to manage the day to day work of the advice team / Community Support staff, (paid and unpaid); offering advice and assistance to members of the public within the remit of organisation’s activities. The service has a particular emphasis on offering advice to the migrant community and case-managing the involvement of mainstream multiagency interventions to resolve issues. The agency is also committed to work with and within communities towards social cohesion and better integration of migrants within communities across Fife.
To work with the board to design a strategy and contribute to normal business planning, whilst identifying and developing services to meet emerging need. To assist FMF in developing a Human Rights approach to advice and community practices. In particular the manager will be responsible for the support, supervision, development and performance of the team and be responsible for the delivery of efficient and effective services; high quality, cost effective, customer focused and in accordance with Fife Migrants Forum aims and objectives.
