Ferguslie Park Housing Association (FPHA) is an independent community-based housing association governed by a volunteer Management Board. Ferguslie Park Housing Association’s vision is for a vibrant community which leads its own future and values the work we do in support of this. We wanted to encapsulate all of this into a short simple vision statement which serves to remind us of our role and our ultimate goal, namely: "Serving the Community - Valued by the Community" We are a registered social landlord and a society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act

The Tannahill Centre is a community-run hub in the centre of Ferguslie Park. Accessible to the whole community, it has a Doctors Surgery, NHS Clinic, Pharmacy, Library, Nursery and Post Office. The Centre also directly manages a number of community spaces and by using a community development approach, works with volunteers and agencies to meet the needs of the community.

We have recently been awarded funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to continue to build the knowledge and confidence of local people so they can deliver and sustain new and existing services in Ferguslie Park., To achieve these targets the Tannahill Centre is recruiting a Volunteer Co-ordinator.

As the Volunteer Co-ordinator you will be responsible for building the skills, knowledge and confidence of volunteers so that they can give back to their community whilst also meeting their own personal goals and ambitions.

You will be responsible for implementing policies, procedures and practices within the Tannahill Centre so that those who volunteer with us are doing so in a safe and nurturing environment and you will work with groups and individuals so they can develop and share their skills with their community.

This role is fixed term for 36 months however it is our intention to secure funding to sustain the role beyond this date.
