B Healthy Together

Charity registered in Scotland SC023736

We are B healthy together a community-led health project in South West Edinburgh. Our aim is to improve health and well-being within the communities of Broomhouse, Sighthill and Parkhead by providing a variety of social health activities. In particular, we focus on how health is affected by everyday life and is as much about the quality of your emotional and social situation as about your experience of disease or disability. We provide a range of free services including a volunteer–run fruit and vegetable stall, food workshops including cookery classes and community meals, physical activities including exercise classes and a walking group, mindfulness groups and other one-off health related activities throughout the year. We aim to increase confidence and skills, reduce social isolation and empower our community to take steps that positively impact their health and wellbeing. Local people are central to the planning and delivery of all our services; we are rooted within our community. We provide a range of volunteering opportunities and could not operate without the invaluable support of these volunteers. We work in close partnership with many local organisations to address gaps in health improvement activities and collectively impact on the wider health inequality agenda.
