About Us:
At The Yard we believe in the power of play and creating communities. Our centre will provide tailored activities and
support for children and young people with disabilities and their families. Ensuring that they have enriching
experiences that promote their well-being and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head of Service to develop and implement an operational plan for the Glasgow service,
translating our vision into actionable practices.
- Build and nurture partnerships across Glasgow to raise
awareness of our services and create new opportunities, working closely with the senior management
team.
- Create and develop child-centred, high-quality services underpinned by robust policies and
procedures.
- Provide effective management and direction to a play and family support team, ensuring
services are delivered within budget.
- Support individual development through supervision, appraisals,
and professional development plans.
- Maintain strong communication with parents, carers, schools, and
other organizations to ensure high service satisfaction and address feedback.
- Lead in the creation of an
environment where families feel part of a connected community and able to access additional support if
required.
- The successful candidate will be subject to a PVG check and require to be registered with the
SSSC.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in service development or management, particularly in children’s or disability
services.
- Strong leadership skills with a commitment to inclusivity and empowerment.
- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and
stakeholders.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for fostering a positive impact in the
community.
