Includem requires an experienced Team Manager to lead our services based in Aberdeen on a 12-month fixed-term basis, to cover a period of maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team that is co-located at Craigielea Children’s Centre, working in partnership with Aberdeen Children and Family Social Work.

The key responsibilities of the Team Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage service delivery to maximise capacity and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
  • Maintain a young people focus in relation to services delivered by ensuring best outcomes achieved and recorded for young people.
  • Lead a team of professionals, with responsibility for all elements of people management.
  • Engage effectively with partner agencies on a day-to-day basis, in addition to seeking new opportunities for partnership/collaborative working.

About You

With proven experience of managing and supervising professional individuals delivering high quality services, you will be able to maximise service delivery resources efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of children, young people, and families. With knowledge of young people policies and legislation, you will put risk enablement at the heart of your decision making. In addition, you will possess:

  • Educated to degree level in relevant qualification in Social Work or Social Care, or a willingness to work towards this.
  • Ability to embrace challenges, take initiative, originate action, and work well with a great deal of autonomy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to challenge and influence a variety of stakeholders with well-reasoned arguments.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Team management: 1 year (required)
  • children social work: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • UK Driving Licence (required)

  • United Kingdom (required)
