Highland Community Care Forum is the leading voluntary organisation in the Highlands representing the voices of carers. HCCF works at community, regional and national level to make sure that the issues that really matter to carers are heard. We use this information to influence policy direction and practice. HCCF works with partners in the statutory and voluntary sectors to change practices in ways that deliver better outcomes for carers.

Top job! Head of Finance

  • Remote: Highland homebased with travel

As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the Head of Finance is responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to the Board of Trustees, Chief Executive Officer and other senior managers to support strategic decision-making and safeguard the assets of Connecting Carers.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the finance function, including budgeting, management accounting and cash management as well as developing and implementing financial policies and controls and lead on risk management. In addition, you will be responsible for managing the Grant and Trust officer and lead on the development of a Fundraising Strategy for the organisation, as well as managing the team responsible for delivering grants to Unpaid Carers.

You must be passionate about what we do and our commitment to supporting unpaid Carers throughout Highland. This is a fantastic opportunity as Head of Finance to use your skills and creativity to make a difference to the lives of unpaid Carers throughout Highland.

Have you graduated within the last 4 years and have an interest in digital technology?

Would you like to be part of a team that makes a difference to the lives of so many across Highland? We are looking for our next team member who will help increase the digital maturity of the organisation, which will enable unpaid Carers to access our support and resources more easily. If you have graduated with an IT/digital qualification within the last four years this person could be you.

Connecting Carers is a charity supporting unpaid Carers across Highland. We ensure unpaid Carers in Highland are not caring alone, are acknowledged, supported and have access to the right services and information they need to enable them to carry out their caring role. Connecting Carers has been supporting unpaid Carers for over 30 years.
