East Dunbartonshire Voluntary Action was launched on 1st May 2012 from a merger of the former East Dunbartonshire Council for Voluntary Service and the Volunteer Centre East Dunbartonshire. The new organisation is part of the network of Third Sector Interfaces across Scotland and its membership is made up of local individuals, volunteers, voluntary and community groups and organisations.
We are looking to recruit a Communications and Business Support Officer who will perform a vital role in enhancing our visibility as an organisation and increasing our ability to achieve our aims through effective use of communications including social media and our website.

This role will suit someone with strong organisation skills and experience of using social media and websites for business purposes.
Our business hours are generally 9-5, Monday to Friday with very occasional evening/ weekend work and we have some flexibility as to which days/ times could be adopted as the work pattern.
We are looking to recruit a Business Support Officer who will perform a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our office, including maintaining oversight of service contracts to ensure payment of bills and renewals, compliance with health and safety requirements, recording of income, processing of payments, preparation of documents and records for the book-keeper and auditor, general administration to support our functions and activities, dealing with our room hires and along with other staff regularly opening/ closing our office .

This role will suit someone with good administrative and finance skills and experience of client facing roles.
Our business hours are generally 9-5 Monday to Friday with very occasional evening/ weekend work and we have some flexibility as to which days/ times the 21hrs per week could be adopted as the work pattern.
