We are delighted to share news of a Senior Management Accountant vacancy in the Finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this newly created post will provide a unique opportunity to work with a leading Scottish charity. You will be responsible for the preparation, analysis and reporting of financial information to a variety of internal and external stakeholders, while maintaining and developing a robust accounting structure and systems. You will act as trusted and valued business partner across the organisation, providing financial insight to budget holders to support them in delivering their financial objectives and to inform strategic planning and decision-making.

This is a pivotal role within the Finance team and will significantly contribute to the development and implementation of an improvement programme for financial processes and systems.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have skills and experience in the following areas:

  • Significant experience of delivering high quality monthly reporting and analysis of financial performance
  • Key contributor to the annual budget process from planning through to completion, ensuring robust systems in place supporting budgetary control
  • Proven delivery of effective business partnering providing support and collaboration on financial matters to budget holders and other colleagues
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills, developing trusted working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Display excellent verbal, interpersonal and written skills with great attention to detail, and an ability to clearly explain complex issues to non-financial colleagues
  • Well versed in organising and prioritising tasks, effectively managing a diverse workload often with conflicting timelines

Assistant Community Fundraiser

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Income Generation and Engagement Team as an Assistant Community Fundraiser!

As an Assistant Community Fundraiser, you will be an integral part of supporting the Community Fundraising team to reach their annual income target. You will oversee the running of the Edinburgh fundraising office, including stock management and managing a small team of volunteers. You will help support the team by co-ordinating supporter and volunteer communications, and attend fundraising events when required.

About You

• Experience in an office or customer facing environment

• Ability to work independently within the role, under your own initiative and cooperatively as part of the Community fundraising team.

• Excellent administration skills with a sound working knowledge of CRM databases, Windows-based software, including Word, Excel and Outlook and Teams.

• Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with experience of managing multiple projects at any given time, prioritising and meeting agreed deadlines.

• Ability to vary communication style (both written and verbal) to reflect the needs of the audience.

• Excellent attention to detail

Trust Fundraising Executive

Are you an exceptional communicator with the ability to write compelling fundraising proposals and reports? Are you detail-oriented and able to research charitable trusts to assess their likelihood and capacity to give? Are you committed to delighting supporters by creating meaningful stewardship journeys?

If so, we would love to hear from you as we are currently recruiting a Trust Fundraising Executive within our Partnerships & Philanthropy Team. Working closely with the existing Trust Fundraising Manager, your primary focus will be to maximise CHAS’ total income from charitable trusts and foundations.

The Philanthropy team are moving through a period of change and growth which will set this team up to strategically focus their resources and skill where it is most needed, in order to attract, cultivate and retain strategic philanthropic income.

Whilst this role is not new, it does sit within a freshly restructured team and so there is plenty of space to bring your own brand of fundraising to the table and make the Trust Fundraising Executive role your own. Our Trust Fundraising Manager, Rebecca, says:

  • Experience of working in account management in either a fundraising or commercial environment.
