£22,620 to £24,195 per annum,35 hours per week for Home Energy Scotland Highlands & Islands and Community Engagement and Energy Advice Services teams.

As an Energy Advisor, you will have the opportunity to work across our range of teams to help people with expert energy advice. We provide accredited training to hone your expertise and support progression. Our supportive, inclusive advice teams will be on hand to help you settle in and share best practice.

We are looking for enthusiastic and talented Energy Advisors to help us deliver the vital Home Energy Scotland advice service in the South East and Highlands and Islands. You’ll be the first point of call for householders who need free and impartial advice about how they can lower their bills and reduce their environmental impact. You’ll also be at the forefront of Changeworks’ mission to make low carbon living a reality across Scotland. You will have experience engaging with customers and your excellent communication skills will help you support householders and relay technical information to a non-technical audience. You will require good IT skills and have a stable internet connection.

Home Energy Scotland is a free, impartial advice service funded by the Scottish Government and managed by the Energy Saving Trust. Changeworks has been involved in delivering the service for 14 years, and currently manages advice centres in South East Scotland and the Highlands and Islands.

With the energy crisis affecting so many people, we are also looking for Energy Advisors to join our Community Engagement and Energy Advice Service where you’ll be at the forefront of supporting householders in fuel poverty with fuel billing, debt and advocacy support. You will have experience of providing advice to householders to support them to adopt energy efficient behaviours.

Throughout the directorate, we provide high quality advice and information on topics including energy efficiency in the home, behaviour change, renewable technologies, sustainable transport and water. We also support many people who are living in fuel poverty with access to grants and funding to keep their homes warmer for less. Along with the satisfaction of helping people on a daily basis, you’ll also receive a City and Guilds Energy Awareness qualification and join an organisation consistently rated as a fantastic place to work.

The ideal candidate and the role

To be successful in this role you should have a passion for helping and supporting people and be a confident communicator. Our advisors speak to a wide range of customers with varied enquiries on a daily basis, providing them with high quality advice tailored to their circumstances and empowering them to take action and change their behaviours.

You will join a team of customer-focused energy advisors in a fast-paced environment, taking inbound calls and making outbound calls to our existing customers. An interest in the environment and sustainability would be an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be given.

We will start to grow your knowledge of our services and energy efficiency straight away. The Energy Advisor induction programme includes the City and Guilds; Energy Awareness in the Home qualification. We will support the successful applicants with ongoing coaching, mentoring and development.

Changeworks is looking for a Customer Service Manager for our EcoCosi retrofit service. If you’re an outgoing people person with a passion for delivering quality customer service and can bring energy and enthusiasm to work every day, we want to hear from you!

You would be joining us at a very exciting time for Changeworks as we build on our 35 years of experience in delivering high-impact solutions for low-carbon living. We are growing and scaling up our work and this position will play a key role.

The Customer Services Manager is a new position within our expanding EcoCosi retrofit service delivery team and therefore at the forefront of our work to decarbonise homes across Scotland.

With a growing number of households wanting to use the service we are expanding the service delivery team. Reporting to the Retrofit Strategic Development Manager we are looking for an enthusiastic Customer Service Manager experienced in delivering quality customer service to paying clients.

The EcoCosi delivery team is the public face of the service. Working alongside and supporting our technical retrofit delivery team, you will be an ambassador for the service through positive promotion. The key focus of the role will be client satisfaction, service engagement as well as identifying and closing new sales opportunities. You will assist clients through their service journey, resolve queries and issues and implement changes that can strengthen the company’s relationship with its clients, while identifying opportunities to up-sell and develop our current client base.

The Home Energy Scotland team in South East Scotland is hiring a Senior Partnership Officer to lead a small team in a diverse range of partnerships from local authorities, advice services and specialist charities. We work with over 100 organisations to make our service accessible and to maximise the support available for people across South East Scotland. The team work across six local authorities with a range of housing, energy, and demographics. A practical understanding of these and the causes of fuel poverty are desirable.

Our partnership team is key to reaching those most in need of our advice with a particular focus on supporting low income families; working in the health sector; and providing access to ethnic minority households. If you have experience in these sectors, we would love to speak to you.

This role is undertaken as a job share and offered on a part-time basis - we are open to discussing how you would see this working for you.

Assistant Operations Manager

Are you looking for a new and fulfilling opportunity? We are looking for a passionate Assistant Operations Manager with the desire to provide a high quality, customer focused service within the Home Energy Scotland advice centre in South East Scotland. The service is at the forefront of tackling climate change and fuel poverty, delivering advice on energy efficiency, renewable technology and transport.

You will be an experienced people manager and trainer with a motivational coaching style that will inspire advisors and specialists across the whole team to perform to their full potential. You will have the ability to adapt your approach from 121 support to rolling out training to a diverse staff group delivering a range of services. You will drive delivery of excellent customer service, providing effective and high quality training to support the delivery of advice to a high volume of customers through an award winning multi-channel advice centre.

You will ideally have experience of leading the operational delivery of a digital contact centre with advisors providing excellent customer service via email, live chat and social media platforms. You will have the ability to work across multiple programmes and projects concurrently ensuring attention to detail is providing equally across all tasks.

You will work closely with the Operations Manager ensuring effective and efficient processes and systems are in place to support the whole centre to deliver on challenging targets and timings to a high standard. You will have experience of business reporting, CRM systems and the ability to communicate performance clearly across the team with a focus on continuous improvement.

We will provide you with a tailored training package including SQA-accredited courses in the services provided by Home Energy Scotland, City and Guilds in Energy Awareness and leadership and management training as part of your personal development.
