The post based at Crosshill Community Enterprise Centre, is responsible for the delivery of activities related to the operation of Brag’s delivery on behalf of the No-One Left Behind Project.

The Employability Keyworker’s main role is to engage with unemployed individuals, providing guidance and supporting them through their own employability journey at a pace that is suitable for them by assessing the needs of the individual, providing information and advice whilst developing tailored action plans and referring to appropriate support partner organisations and external training providers as required. We always use a person-centred approach and individuals progress at a pace suitable for them. Brag prides itself on offering engaging opportunities, working with people from 19-24yrs and 25yrs+.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, can communicate effectively at all levels, is a team player and can ‘think out of the box’ in relation to activities and engagement opportunities for individuals you are working with. Ideally, someone with experience of working with Brag’s target groups, those who have multiple barriers and/or suffering long term unemployment. You must also demonstrate a commitment to quality and effective service delivery.

The post holder will report to the Senior Operations Manager and will be expected to liaise with the Assistant Operations Manager on a day-to-day basis as well as the full NOLB keyworker team across Fife. We have offices based in Crosshill and Methil and you will regularly engage with the full team.

The main tasks and responsibilities are:

Managing caseloads of unemployed individuals and ensuring eligibility for the project.

Assessing the needs of the individual and implementing the appropriate support, training and guidance through the creation of a person-centred action plan.

Negotiating and agreeing the delivery of the action plan with the individual.

Deliver core employability training (e.g. CV Workshops, Job Search, Employers Expectations, Interview Skills) to individuals/groups.

Explore possible routes of progression and appropriate career direction.

Ensure record keeping is accurate and up to date.

Liaise with other staff members to ensure effective planning and delivery of all stages of the programme. Specifically, liaising with the Activities Co-ordinator regarding appropriate activities for all clients, getting involved in activities regularly, using a co-production approach with clients and being involved in evaluating these activities.

Developing and maintaining good working relationships with key employability stakeholders and Third Sector Organisations to ensure referral targets and contractual obligations are met.

Coordinating referrals of individuals to partner organisations for specialist provision (e.g. Debt Advice, Homelessness Services, Drug and Alcohol Services) and when required advocating on behalf of the individual.

Attend meetings and conferences as deemed appropriate by the Senior Operations Manager or which are directly related to the activities of programmes highlighted in the scope. Attend training that has been agreed, primarily, through a Personal Development Planning process. Undertake any other duties as requested by the Senior Operations Manager that are in the “spirit” of the posts intent.

This post works 100% as part of the No-One Left Behind Project and is funded through the Opportunities Fife Partnership. This project is currently funded to March 2025 based on performance and funding.
