About the service...

Aberlour Early Years Family Support will provide gender-responsive, trauma- informed, flexible & accessible intensive support to meet the needs of pregnant women and families with children under 3. Support will be provided in families homes and communities at times that suit them (before school or nursery/evenings/weekends) and for as long as is needed, to prevent challenges escalating. We also aim to support local professional stakeholders and communities to coproduce solutions.

Our whole-family approach means we can create personalised support for both the children and their parents.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and creative individual to lead and manage a small team and help develop the service to deliver support which is playful, warm, accepting, curious, tenacious, and empathetic.

You will be able to balance operational and administrative requirements while also being available to join your team as the lead practitioner on a flexible basis. This will include working directly with the children and families at weekends, evenings and on public holidays in a planned way. There will be an opportunity within this post to work flexibly between the office and home.

Work is carried out individually or in groups using a variety of settings including the service base, family homes, schools and community venues. You will be involved in planning, designing and delivering appropriate work, assessing and evaluating the services, maintaining accurate records and compiling reports.

We are looking for an individual to join our expanding IT & Digital team. Work will mostly be home based but the post holder will be required to work from our Stirling office for a minimum of 2 days per week and there may be some occasional travel to services.

What we are looking for...

You will be the initial contact for first line support for Aberlour’s IT users and so will have successfully worked in a fast-paced helpdesk environment or customer service role and will be required to balance business as usual tasks alongside ongoing IT projects.

Required skill set:

  • Experience of working on a fast-paced helpdesk, maintaining a high degree of customer service and escalating tickets where necessary.
  • Ability to recognise problem trends and determine when an isolated issue has become a wider problem.
  • Follow established IT Polices in relation to service requests including on-boarding and access requests.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Windows (ideally 10 and 11) and Android operating systems.
  • Excellent administrative knowledge of Active Directory
  • Experience of supporting and administering Microsoft 365 and Entra (Azure AD) Services. Including, but not limited to, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online and Intune.
  • Knowledge of basic network troubleshooting, previous experience working with Cisco Meraki infrastructure would be desirable though not essential.

You will have excellent communication skills, experience of working under pressure on your own initiative and hold a qualification at SCQF level 7 or higher (HNC/HND equivalent) in a relevant computer related subject or equivalent experience in a technical role.

A valid driving license and access to your own vehicle is also essential.

About Options Moray

Aberlour Options Moray is a community-based service for children/young people with learning disabilities offering residential, short breaks, family-based care and community support matched with the individual needs of every young person.

What we are looking for....

We have an opening for Young People’s Workers on a permanent basis. We are looking for one person to work 20 hours, and one to work 35 hours per week. The team work no more than 4 days before a day off and currently have every second weekend off. Rotas are designed around the needs of the young people we care for and ensuring the wellness of the practitioners we employ. Late shifts are 2pm to 10pm. Early shifts are 7.30am to 2pm. Overnight sleep ins are part of the role, alongside an awake member of night staff. Shifts can be subject to change as and when required for the needs of the service.

Individuals need to bring a range of qualities to the role including being playful, warm and accepting and must be able to adapt their practice to appropriately meet the varying individual needs of each young person. This role can be challenging but is also immensely rewarding and provides postholders with rich opportunities to develop their own practice and understanding of the needs of children and young people with disabilities.

You must be comfortable working in a culture based on respect, integrity, innovation and the ability to challenge – both yourself and other people. We support our staff to be as effective as they can be through dedicated training and supervision. In return our staff act as exceptional role models supporting the children and young people, as well as sharing knowledge and learning with colleagues.

Ideally, you will have a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above, or be willing to work to this requirement as per SSSC registration.

We will give support to enable young people to access and sustain accommodation, develop life skills and support networks enabling them to live more independently within their community

What we are looking for....

We are looking for a dynamic, energised individual who can work autonomously and who is confident and excited to develop a new team alongside the Service Manager.

You will be required to balance the needs of the young people alongside administrative requirements and support of staff.

You are someone who will have strong communication and teamwork skills, understand the necessity of best practice and thrive on helping young people overcome the challenges presented by everyday modern life.

The hours for this role are 30 hours per week, working 4 days per week. Shift patterns will take the form of: 10am-6pm or 1pm-9pm, Monday-Friday and 10am-6pm at weekends. There will be an expectation that you will work approximately 1 weekend in every 3 and a variety of day shifts/back shifts during the week. The base for this post will be Eastwood Health and Care Centre.

This post is currently fixed term for 2 years with the hope of further extension.

About Intensive Family Support Service

Our service supports families in the Dumfries and Galloway area who are struggling to cope. The families we work with may have a wide range of issues, which include drug and alcohol use within the family. As a Child and Family worker you would work directly with the whole family in various settings, such as their own homes, our dedicated base and other community locations.

You will be the trusted person they could talk about what they are going through at home. You whilst undertaking assessments to identify what support we can provide. You will work with the children and the family offering practical help, in the community, family home, liaising with partner agencies, schools and nurseries. Participate and lead group work sessions. Attending meetings, children’s hearings, school meetings & health appointments as required necessary. You will help establish routines and build life skills with families. Help families build parenting skills and confidence.

What we are looking for....

You should have a sound knowledge of child development and be able to work with parents either individually or in groups to develop their parenting skills & confidence.

We are looking for two child and family workers, each working 22.5 hours per week with the potential to be worked flexibly, evening & weekend work may be required dependant on the service need. An allowance is incorporated in the salary to support this requirement. This post is offered on a temporary basis until 31st March 2026.

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about supporting young people, families and communities, who are flexible and share our vision that collaborative working and relationship based early intervention is the best option for young people and families who are feeling overwhelmed or excluded. A current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.

About Options Fife Housing Support

At Aberlour we listen to understand what our young people want and need within our local area. Our Options Fife Housing Support service in Glenrothes supports young people with learning disabilities and/or autism to live and thrive within the local community.

This service will be home to 4 young people aged 16 plus who will all have their own individual flat. Our rota has been drafted to suit the needs of the young people.

What we are looking for....

We are looking for full time (37.5 hours) and part time (20 hours) Young People’s Workers to join our team. Shifts can be up to 12.5 hours long. You will play a fundamental role in our young people’s lives to ensure that they get the best possible experience whilst working towards goals in their care plan. Using a person-centred approach, you will provide enabling support ensuring the highest level of physical and emotional care, supporting our young people in their daily living and within the local community.

If you have an interest in working with young people, we would like to hear from you. Ideally, candidates will have social care experience, understanding of autism, complex needs and disability. You will hold, or be willing to work towards, a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above (for example: SVQ3 Care plus an HNC) together with relevant experience of working with children or young people. We are looking for a Young People’s Worker who will work 15 hours per week. You will work these hours as part of a residential rota, this will include days, nights, evenings, weekends and public holidays. There is also the requirement to undertake occasional sleep overs.

As a Young People’s Worker you will play a fundamental role in ensuring that our young person will have the best possible experience in working towards their objectives in line with their care plan, supporting them to progress within their individual outcomes. About Bridges Partnership- Glasgow

The Bridges Partnership is jointly provided by Aberlour Glasgow Family Support Service and Shelter Scotland to provide support to mothers and their children living in the North East of Glasgow areas who are or have been affected by domestic abuse.

What we are looking for....

We are looking for a Child and Family Worker to join our team, working 37.5 hours per week. As this post includes an unsocial hour’s allowance, you are required to be flexible with your approach and available to work weekends, evenings and public holiday to meet the needs of the families you would support. This post is funded until 31st March 2025, however we are actively seeking further funding to extend this further.

As a Child and Family Worker within our Bridges Partnership project you will;

• Undertake risk assessment and work to develop safety plans

• Advocate in statutory meetings, court settings and with other agencies on behalf of women and children who have or are experiencing domestic abuse.

• Using the safe and together model, you will develop reports to be used in courts in relation to civil and criminal proceedings.

• Work in partnership with the parents, either on a 1:1 basis or in groups to enhance their parenting skills and build their confidence

• Work with children and parents in a therapeutic and trauma-based approach to help them reach their full potential.

• Provide housing information and assistance

• Inform women and children of their rights

• Signposting and helping each mother to access additional services as needed.

You will have relevant experience and a sound knowledge of domestic abuse and the impact on the children and adult survivor and relevant theory in attachment and parenting. You should be able to demonstrate an understanding and commitment to women and children’s rights. You will hold a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above. It is desired that you are IDDA trained or are willing to work towards this.
