Financial Inclusion Adviser

We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience of welfare benefits to join our team.

As a Financial Inclusion Adviser you will provide end to end support to individuals who find themselves in financial crisis or who are struggling to make ends meet. You will work closely with our partners at Perth & Kinross Foodbank, Perth and Kinross Council Housing and our internal specialist services to make sure our clients get holistic advice and support including referrals to our Money Advice Team and our Energy Specialists.

You’ll be joining an established team which provides a supportive and collaborative work environment which empowers staff to deliver the best possible service for our clients.

Cash First Coordinator

The Cash-First Coordinator will be responsible for the creation and the delivery of a Cash First Partnership throughout Perth and Kinross. This is new role and the post-holder will be responsible for ensuring that those facing poverty in Perth and Kinross are able to access services including setting up a robust partnership referral system. The post holder will have strong interpersonal skills as building relationships with partners in the third and public sectors and engaging with and listening to those with lived experience are vital for this role.

Business Development Assistant

Administration Officer (Finance and HR)

This role is responsible for supporting the finance and HR functions of the bureau. Working closely with the Finance and Resource Manager and CEO they will ensure that we maintain high standards in administrative and financial processes. The Administration Officer will ensure that finance processes are accurate and that tasks are completed on time and that HR systems work effectively and staff and line managers are supported. The postholder will also support the general administration of the office.

We are looking for a self-starter with energy and enthusiasm to make the role their own, particularly as this is a new position. All training will be provided so please don’t be deterred if you don’t meet all of the criteria. We are looking for new Trustee Board Members to join us.

We’re looking for individuals who share our passion and values, who will support us to deliver our mission to empower and support citizens throughout Perth and Kinross in areas such as debt, benefits, employment, consumer rights, and to create a more equal and inclusive society.

The Board’s role is to provide overall governance for the Bureau, to set strategic direction, and to ensure that as an organisation we are providing the services required to support the community. We are looking for individuals who want to share their knowledge and experience, to work collaboratively with other trustees and our CEO to ensure Perth Citizens Advice Bureau continues to thrive in responding to the needs of our community.

If you don’t think you meet the ‘traditional’ profile of a charity trustee which may have put you off applying in the past then we want to hear from you! We want our board to reflect the communities we serve and would welcome applications from diverse backgrounds.

We currently lack the following skills on our trustee team so if you have current experience or knowledge in these areas then we’d also love to hear from you: Accounting and financial audit and communication or marketing,

Our trustees are asked to attend a board meeting once every two months and to join at least one sub-committee; Finance, Governance or People. The time commitment is between four and six hours a month including meeting preparation.

This new role will provide vital support to Perth CAB by delivering business development activities to ensure a sustainable future for Perth CAB as the preferred advice provider in Perth and Kinross. This includes, but is not limited to, being the driving force behind generating new funding agreements and opportunities, while maintaining and growing the support of present funders.

Key elements of the role include:

• Working with the CEO and Senior Management Team, scoping and developing projects and partnerships that will meet the needs of clients and encourage the support of funders.

• Building, developing and stewarding relationships with funders and stakeholders in the local community and regionally.

• Working with the CEO and Finance and Resource Manager to identify and action opportunities to diversify our income streams.

• To support the CEO in the external marketing and promotion of Perth CAB.

We are looking for a self-starter with energy, enthusiasm and experience to make the role their own, particularly as this is a new position. For the right candidate, there is the opportunity to develop our fundraising strategy and play a key part in the implementation of our strategic plan. We are a busy team who are ambitious to support our community and this role will contribute significantly to us achieving our objectives in the coming years.
