Are you passionate about working with communities? Do you love nature and the outdoors, and have the enthusiasm and versatility to help our community be more engaged with the land in our guardianship and actively involved in its management?
We are seeking a part-time, freelance Community Ranger to strengthen connections between local communities and the land Tayvallich Initiative (TI) owns on their behalf, encompassing its natural and cultural heritage, with a particular emphasis on people who are experiencing barriers to becoming involved.
Are you an experienced Project Development Manager who has the enthusiasm and versatility to help our community deliver its housing objectives?
Do you have a successful track record in fundraising to build upon the significant amount of funding we have already
attracted to kick-start our Tayvallich Initiative?
We are seeking a part-time, freelance Project Development Manager who will work with our Board, Community Steering Group and Housing Working Group Lead to establish and drive forward the development of housing for affordable rent on our community-owned land.
Your role will be to help us select the most suitable housing agency to deliver our vision for housing and work in partnership with them to make this a reality. You will also liaise with planners about options for housing on community-owned land and prepare pre-planning and planning applications. At each phase, you will also take a lead in involving and consulting our local community on our proposed plans to ensure continued engagement and commitment.
We are seeking a part-time, freelance Project Co-ordinator who will work with our Board, Community Steering Group and Working Group Leads to establish and drive forward a clear action plan for the next 12 months for the land the community will own soon. The key focus will be to partner with our selected housing agency to start the process of developing housing for affordable rent; draw up a management plan for the land we will own to protect and enhance its biodiversity as well as identifying the best course of action for our potential income-generating renewables initiatives. You will also take a lead in ensuring our local community continue to be as actively involved and engaged as they have been so far.
As you will be involved in attending our Board, Steering Group and Working Group meetings and consultation events, some out-of-hours working will be required.
