As part of the Cairngorms 2030 programme, you’ll play a key role in helping communities benefit from land use changes and nature finance. This is your chance to drive real, positive change while contributing to Scotland’s transition to net zero.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

• Foster collaboration between communities, landowners, developers, and nature finance partners to ensure equitable land use changes and nature restoration.
• Develop and lead pilot projects that explore new ways to create community benefits and build community wealth.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring that communities have a voice and role in decision-making around land and nature investments.
• Capture and share insights from case studies to shape good practice in Scotland.

This role is people-focused, requiring face-to-face meetings and relationship-building, so you’ll need to be based in or near the Cairngorms.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience in community engagement and land management or a related field.
• Is skilled in building relationships, negotiating, and facilitating collaboration.
• Has a passion for nature and sustainable land use, with an interest or understanding of nature finance.
• Is innovative, adaptable, and eager to try new approaches to drive change.
• Has strong project management skills and can evaluate and monitor progress effectively.

This role requires a Full UK driving licence, however, we are willing to consider any proposals that would allow you to do the job by other means.

Additional Information

The standard working week is a 5-day week, Monday to Friday, of 35 hours. Flexible working is available.
