What You’ll Do:

  • Craft Winning Proposals: Research, write, and submit compelling funding proposals to secure grants for complex, multi-year projects.
  • Strategic Vision: Develop and implement a strategic plan for trusts and foundations with the Head of Fundraising.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with service managers to identify and promote fundable projects that align with our mission.
  • Relationship Building: Maintain and nurture relationships with funder trustees and administrators, ensuring ongoing dialogue and understanding of their funding criteria.
  • Leadership: Manage a Research Officer and produce regular reports on trust and foundation pipelines and progress.

  • Impact Reporting: Record and report new income and projected cash flow using Raisers Edge, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Hit the Target: Secure in the region of £400,000 of new funds annually, with the expectation of meeting increasing targets.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in fundraising from trusts and foundations, with a track record of securing significant funding for complex projects.
  • Skills: Excellent proposal writing, project management, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in MS Office and fundraising CRMs like Raisers Edge.
  • Initiative: Ability to anticipate funders’ needs, spot opportunities, and develop strategic relationships.
