Barnardos is working in partnership with Renfrewshire Council and wider third sector to improve outcomes for families in the Renfrewshire area.
Due to the recent growth of the Early Help - Social Work Front Door pilot that is currently being delivered across Paisley North and Paisley South Duty Social Work Teams, to Duty SW teams Renfrewshire wide we are now recruiting a Service Administrator. The extension of the service will build on the learning of the model used in the pilot and be responsive and adaptive in its delivery to meet the specific needs of Duty SW teams across Renfrewshire.
The Early Help - Social Work Front Door pilot is funded from Barnardo's and Renfrewshire Council Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategic Partnership funding, to provide an alternative to social work intervention for families who are experiencing difficulties which without support, might escalate to require statutory involvement. In doing so, the aim is, wherever possible, to prevent children and young people from becoming looked after.
The Service administrator role will be pivotal in developing systems and processes to support the expansion of the Early help Service and to produce monitoring & impact reports for the Childrens Service Manager and key commissioners. The Early Help administrator will also support the wider team members to ensure smooth running of the service day to day requirements as well as supporting other areas of the wider Threads Service Portfolio as directed by the Childrens Service Manager.
The successful applicant should be motivated, driven and can work on their own initiative and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team. Experience of working alongside colleagues from a multidisciplinary background would be desirable and experience of working in the public or third sector would be welcomed albeit not essential.
The successful candidate will require to work with a high degree of flexibility to meet the needs of the service.

Pay & Reward Framework
We know that our colleagues go above and beyond in delivering our vital work, driven by their passion and commitment to Barnardo's values. We also know that we can only realise our ambitions and achieve better outcomes for more children, thanks to the talent, hard work and creativity of our people.
For all these reasons, we are committed to a new approach to pay and reward, to ensure it is fair, attractive and progressive, which was rolled out 1st April 2023. This is a positive change for the charity, and a key pillar of our People & Culture Strategy. It will assist us in supporting colleagues to grow and develop in their career at Barnardo's as it will offer clear routes of progression for colleagues to progress through the pay band of their role.
Whilst the full pay band and salary range is advertised, our approach to starting salaries is to appoint between the minimum to mid-point of the pay band – this ensures that pay progression steps are available to reward our colleagues annually based on their contribution to excellence and alignment to our values and behaviours. More details on Barnardo's pay framework can be found upon application.
