Top job! Chief Executive Officer

  • SensationALL
  • Full time
  • Circa £50,000
  • On site: Aberdeenshire
  • Closing 3rd June 2026

SensationALL is a well-established and highly regarded Scottish charity supporting children, young people, adults, and families living with neurodiversity and additional support needs. Through a wide range of inclusive services, activities, and therapeutic support, the organisation creates opportunities for individuals and families to connect, thrive, and feel valued within their communities.

The charity is now seeking a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation into its next phase of development and growth. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the strategic direction, operational delivery, financial sustainability, and overall impact of SensationALL. Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, the CEO will provide strong, visible, and values-led leadership across the organisation, ensuring SensationALL continues to deliver high-quality, person-centred services while maintaining a strong culture of inclusion, collaboration, and innovation.

In this role you will oversee the day-to-day management of the charity, including strategic planning, governance, financial management, facilities oversight, health and safety, and human resources. Leading and supporting a committed team, you will ensure the organisation operates effectively, remains compliant with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, and continues to develop in a sustainable and financially secure way.

A key priority for the role will be driving income generation and financial sustainability. Working closely with the fundraising team and external partners, you will help develop and deliver income generation strategies, support fundraising initiatives and events, and build strong relationships with funders, businesses, community stakeholders, and public sector partners. You will act as a key ambassador for SensationALL, representing the charity across a range of meetings, events, and networking opportunities to raise awareness, strengthen partnerships, and champion the organisation’s mission.

The CEO will also lead on the development and implementation of the charity’s long-term strategic and operational plans, helping shape the future direction of SensationALL while ensuring services remain responsive to the needs of the individuals and families it supports. This includes overseeing organisational risk management, facilities management, safeguarding responsibilities, and the continued development of policies, systems, and operational processes.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be an experienced and compassionate leader with a strong track record in organisational management, strategic development, financial oversight, and people leadership. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to build meaningful relationships across a wide range of stakeholders and inspire confidence both internally and externally.

You will need to bring experience of leadership within the third sector, public sector, healthcare, education, social care, or a similarly values-driven environment. You will be highly organised, solutions-focused, and comfortable managing a diverse operational workload in a fast-paced setting.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and visionary leader to make a lasting difference to the lives of neurodivergent individuals, those with complex needs and their families while leading a respected and ambitious charity with a strong community reputation.
