Role

Who are FASS?

FASS is a Glasgow based charity that supports people (16+) who are affected by a loved one’s drug of alcohol use. We provide flexible, person-centred practical and emotional support, helping family members improve their wellbeing, build resilience and develop healthier relationships and coping strategies. Our support includes 1-1 support, peer support groups, holistic therapies and wellbeing activities

Why this role would be great for you

As a Family Support Practitioner at FASS, you will provide flexible, person-centred practical and emotional support to individuals and families affected by a loved one's drug or alcohol use.

You will support people through 1:1 work, groups and activities helping people to build on their strengths, improve their wellbeing and access appropriate support.

This is also a role for someone who wants to contribute to the growth and development of FASS. You will be encouraged to use your initiative, develop ideas, build relationships and identify new ways of reaching and supporting families.

You will represent FASS within the community and with partner organisations, helping to raise awareness of our work and develop strong links with other services.

Essential: A full driving licence and access to a car for work-related travel across Glasgow, with appropriate business-use insurance.
