The Communications and Membership Lead is a senior role responsible for developing and delivering DES’ communications, marketing and membership strategies to raise the organisation’s profile, strengthen engagement with our members and stakeholders, and support the growth and sustainability of the organisation.

Reporting directly to the CEO, and working with colleagues across the organisation, the postholder will lead all internal and external communications, oversee marketing of the organisation’s services, develop meaningful engagement with DES members, and provide strategic oversight of our Easy Read service.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, the postholder will contribute to organisational planning, performance, business development and continuous improvement, ensuring that accessibility, inclusion and the voices of disabled people underpin all communications and engagement activities.

The Operations Lead works across the following key areas:

• Finance Management

• Human Resources

Through co-ordinating and providing comprehensive financial, operational, and administrative support, the post holder will understand how a small charity functions. They will ensure that DES adheres to sound financial practices, operates efficiently, and maintains our reputation as a responsible and financially prudent organisation.

This role will suit someone with finance, HR and administration experience who is naturally very well-organised, has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and is committed to disabled people’s equality, inclusion and participation. The successful applicant will have an eye for detail and be able to quickly respond to new opportunities and challenges. They will be enthusiastic, proactive and willing to be flexible when things change.

The Data Governance Lead will work with people across our network to ensure that we can use data to deliver on our three strategic priorities, whilst protecting the privacy of the people we support. What you will do:

Lead our work on data governance including data protection and information management

Perform the role of data protection officer for Citizens Advice Scotland

Work with our Data Governance Officers to provide a data protection support service to the network of Citizens Advice Bureaux in Scotland

Work with colleagues in Advice Services to ensure that privacy in built into our services at the design stage

Change Mental Health is looking for an experienced Senior Service Manager to oversee the delivery, quality and development of our community mental health services across Central Services.

This is a senior operational leadership role with responsibility for multiple Hub and Outreach services, combining service oversight, people leadership, quality assurance, performance management and strategic development.

About the role

You’ll lead the safe and effective delivery of services across the region, ensuring high standards of person-centred support, strong safeguarding and health and safety processes, and consistent quality across teams.

You’ll oversee budgets, contracts, KPIs and service performance, lead audits and service reviews, and use data, feedback and outcomes to demonstrate impact and drive improvement.

Working closely with the Head of Service, you’ll also contribute to strategic planning, service development, funding opportunities and partnership working, deputising where required and helping shape the future direction of services.

Essential

• Significant experience leading, managing and developing teams delivering high-quality support.
• Excellent knowledge of Scottish health and social care policy, including safeguarding, risk management and Care Inspectorate requirements.
• Experience managing service budgets, contracts, performance and KPIs.
• Experience developing and implementing operational policies, procedures and quality systems.
• Strong stakeholder management and partnership-working skills.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience interpreting and presenting service and outcome data.
• SVQ Level 4 Social Services and Healthcare (Adults) or willingness to work towards this if required.
• Appropriate qualification for Care Inspectorate Registered Manager requirements, or willingness to work towards this if required.
• Willingness to travel across service locations.

Desirable

• Experience working within and delivering a regulated service, including acting as a regulated supervisor.
