Role
The Tenants Information Service (TIS) - a national charity leading tenant participation, community development, and engagement practices, is seeking a dynamic and values-driven individual to step into the role of CEO.
This is a rare opportunity for an inspiring leader with a passion for social justice to champion tenant engagement and ensure it remains at the forefront of the national housing agenda.
As a membership organisation, TIS is proud to represent over 255,000 homes across Scotland through its tenant and housing organisation membership community. Members share the same values of finding creative solutions to encourage tenants and housing organisations to work together and effect positive change.
With a strong foundation and fantastic reputation, TIS is now looking for a CEO to lead the next chapter of growth and innovation. Along with delivery contracts to our customers, the CEO will be responsible for the strategic, financial, and operational leadership of TIS, reporting directly to the Board of Directors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Service Delivery - Working with a dedicated development team to deliver tenant participation, scrutiny and community development contracts across Scotland.
- Strategic Leadership - Develop and deliver the organisation’s strategic plan to achieve its mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
- Leadership and Governance - Driving the strategic direction of TIS while ensuring the organisation's activities align with its core values of integrity, excellence, partnership, innovation, independence, and empowerment.
- Financial Management - Developing and overseeing budgets, tenders, and funding streams to ensure the organisation's long-term viability.
- Policy Influence - Representing TIS at a local and national level, working closely with government bodies, housing regulators, and key stakeholders to influence housing policy and legislation.
- Team Development - Leading a dedicated team of professionals and associates, fostering a culture of empowerment, and delivering continuous service improvement.
- Membership Growth - Enhancing member services and driving the organisation's marketing, digital and engagement strategies.
We are looking for an accomplished professional with:
- Experience - At least five years in a senior management role within housing, tenant participation, or community development, with a proven track record in strategic and operational leadership and community development.
- Skills - Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, coupled with a deep understanding of the social housing sector, financial management, community development and governance best practices.
- Values - A commitment to tenant empowerment, social justice, and innovation, underpinned by a collaborative and inclusive approach.

Dundee Heritage Trust (DHT) is a highly regarded heritage charity responsible for some of Dundee's most significant and internationally recognised attractions, including RRS Discovery, Discovery Point and Verdant Works. Through its heritage, collections, learning and visitor experiences, the Trust connects people with Dundee's rich industrial and maritime history and creates opportunities for learning, inspiration and engagement.
The Trust is now seeking a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation into an exciting new phase of transformation, growth and development. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for shaping and delivering the Trust's strategic direction, strengthening financial sustainability, growing audiences and income, and maximising the impact of its world-class heritage assets.
Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, the CEO will provide strong, visible and collaborative leadership across DHT, working closely with the Chair, Trustees, Executive Management Team and wider staff team. They will ensure the organisation remains financially sustainable, operationally effective and focused on delivering its charitable objectives, while creating a positive and high-performing culture where people are valued, empowered and accountable.
A major priority for the incoming CEO will be leading the Trust through a significant period of transformation, including the Discovery Point Transformed project, representing an investment of approximately £11 million. This ambitious project provides an opportunity to transform the visitor experience at Discovery Point, strengthen the Trust's commercial and learning offer, attract new audiences and help secure the long-term future of RRS Discovery. The CEO will play a key role in ensuring this investment delivers lasting heritage, visitor, community and financial benefits for the organisation.
Financial sustainability and growth will also be central to the role. The CEO will work closely with the Finance, Commercial and Development teams to strengthen and diversify income streams across admissions, commercial activity, grants, donations and high-net-worth fundraising. They will provide strategic oversight of financial performance, cash, reserves and investment, while identifying new opportunities for sustainable growth and ensuring that commercial activity remains aligned with the Trust's charitable purpose.
To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced senior leader with a strong track record of strategic and organisational leadership, financial management, income generation and people development. You will bring the ability to balance commercial opportunities with charitable purpose and will be comfortable operating at Board level and working across a diverse range of stakeholders.
You will be a strategic and creative thinker who can translate ambition into practical delivery, combined with strong communication, influencing and decision-making skills. Experience within the arts, culture, heritage, museum, visitor attraction, charity or wider not-for-profit sector will be highly relevant, alongside experience of leading change, major projects, fundraising and developing sustainable income.

The Role
We are seeking a passionate and strategic Fundraising Manager to lead the implementation of our fundraising strategy to increase our income generated through fundraising initiatives and bring supporters closer to our mission.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled fundraiser and communicator who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and who wants to help the charity grow sustainably. You will be leading and executing CATH’s fundraising strategy with a focus on regular giving, stewarding donors through engagement and support, building relationships with them on their journey with CATH and sharing news of the impact of the charity, sharing powerful stories that demonstrate the difference our supporters make – with the goal of enabling us to reach more people in need and improve our financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement a fundraising strategy across all income streams with an initial focus on individual giving.
- Managing and developing the CATH donor database and analysing the donation data to inform decision making and fundraising strategies
- Assess and develop the current corporate giving opportunities developing relationships with local businesses and industry partners.
- Identify suitable funding opportunities through Trusts and Foundation, developing relationships with the funders where possible and submitting detailed, high quality applications for appropriate funding.
- Identify and cultivate additional new fundraising opportunities.
- Prepare compelling funding proposals and support the development of high-quality reports demonstrating impact.
- Implement a robust stewardship journey for our donors in all streams. Stewarding supporters with warmth, authenticity, and care, ensuring long-term engagement.
- Deliver a variety of charity campaigns (e.g. Giving Tuesday, Christmas appeals, challenge events).
- Ensure fundraising compliance with the guidelines laid down by the Office of Scottish Charities Regulator (OSCR).
- Lead our charity’s communications strategy in relation to our fundraising aims to raise awareness and build trust.
- Create meaningful content that celebrates beneficiaries, volunteers, and supporters for social media and marketing purposes.
- Manage storytelling across social media, website, newsletters, and print materials.
- Uphold and strengthen the charity’s brand identity and tone of voice.
- Support the production of impact reports, case studies, and campaign materials for fundraising use.
- Build relationships with local and national media to advocate for our cause.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work close with the Business & Finance Manager to align fundraising and associated communication with the CATH strategy.
- Support frontline staff to gather stories ethically and sensitively.
- Provide insight, data, and analysis to help the Senior Management Team (SMT) understand its supporters and opportunities for increasing donations.
- Champion a culture of fundraising and communications throughout the charity.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in leading and implementing a charity fundraising strategy.
- A strong storyteller who can turn complex issues into compelling narratives. Confident of collaborating with the service co-ordinators to identify high impact stories and opportunities for fundraising.
- Skilled in writing donor communications that results in increased giving.
- Comfortable using digital tools and social platforms to engage supporters.
- Confident in managing relationships with donors, partners, and community groups.
- Passionate about the voluntary sector and committed to ethical fundraising.
- Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable juggling varied priorities.
- Experience working directly with beneficiaries (or alongside frontline teams) is desired but not essential.
