Early Years Scotland are looking for experienced Family Engagement Practitioners to join our amazing staff team delivering our services in Glasgow and surrounding areas.

Family Engagement Practitioners (FEPs) with Early Years Scotland (EYS) have a unique, exciting role within the early years sector. An EYS Family Engagement Practitioner has responsibility for providing support and promoting parental engagement and a whole family wellbeing service through the adoption of a multi-agency collaborative approach.

Our EYS staff team work together with children and families on a continual basis, across a variety of settings within communities with a focus on enriching and enhancing parental skills and capacity to improve, strengthen and maximise:

• positive attachments and relationships between parents/carers and children
• early literacy and communication skills
• shared interactions and approaches to learning
• cost-free and enriching and nurturing home learning environments
• healthy living approaches
• support for entitlements.
• meaningful transitions

You will be fully involved in shaping, developing, and evaluating the early years health programmes and innovative shared play and learning sessions you deliver.

A typical week’s activity could consist of:

• delivering a health programme to parents
• delivering Stay Play and Learn sessions incorporating health-based learning experiences.
• Working in various locations delivering community programmes

Post Details

• 35 and 25 hours per week over 52 weeks per annum (other part-time contracts may be available, please note this on your application when applying).
• £25,685 FTE which is point 24 on scale 24-26
• 25 days Annual Leave in the first year rising to 30 days thereafter
• 12 public holidays per annum

Salary, allowances and entitlements are pro-rata to hours worked.

Applicants’ qualifications must be consistent with those required to register as a Practitioner with SSSC, e.g:

• HNC Childhood Practice at SCQF Level 7
• SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level 7 .
• Additional ELC qualifications welcomed.

PVG Scheme membership will be required.

The Investigations Support Officer (ISO) provides integral administrative support to the Standards team. The Standards team consists of Investigating Officers (IOs) who report to the Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) and/or Hearings and Investigations Officer (HIO).

The Commissioner receives complaints about possible breaches of the Code of Conduct for Councillors, the Code of Conduct for MSPs and of Codes of Conduct based on the Model Code for members of public bodies. The Commissioner also deals with complaints covering regulated lobbying.

The IOs are responsible for investigating complaints to a conclusion including carriage of the related administrative duties and all contact with the complainer, respondent, local authority staff, and others involved in a given case. The ISO provides administrative support to the IOs in accomplishing these tasks.

The successful applicant will be experienced and effective case administrators, with relevant professional or regulatory backgrounds, and strong analytical skills. They will also share our values. We act ethically and with empathy; we value people.

It is desirable that the successful candidates will have a track record of working in or with the public sector, particularly with local authorities and/or other public bodies subject to ethical standards regulation.

The post is full time, pensionable and based at our offices in Edinburgh, which is currently operating flexibly to accommodate remote, hybrid or office-based working. The flexible working options are set out in our Remote Working Policy.

Please note that the ISO role requires at least 1 day of in office work per week in addition to some travel in connection with investigations-related work, attending external training or networking events, or public hearings.

Starting salary: £31,514 per annum rising to £34,066 per annum after 1 year in post (please note: the starting salary is non-negotiable)

Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (35 hours effective from 01 March 2026)

Leave allowance: 25 days increasing to 30 days with 11.5 public holidays

The Site, Facilities, & Compliance Manager is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and safety of Cove Park’s 50-acre site and facilities. This includes health and safety, security, and the servicing of all facilities to ensure they meet the needs of the organisation, our residents, visitors, and team.
