ACCORD Hospice provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care to people living with life-limiting illnesses across Renfrewshire and parts of East Renfrewshire. ACCORD Hospice is now seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Fundraiser to join its Fundraising and Communications team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving income growth, developing meaningful supporter relationships, and increasing awareness of the hospice across the local community.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of fundraising activity across community, corporate, events, and general fundraising streams, helping to maximise income from both existing and new supporters. The role will involve developing and managing relationships with local businesses, organisations, community groups, and volunteers, while identifying innovative opportunities to grow fundraising income and supporter engagement.

A key aspect of the role will include managing the hospice’s portfolio of fundraising events and campaigns, securing long-term corporate partnerships, including Charity of the Year relationships, and supporting stewardship activity to ensure supporters receive an excellent experience. You will also play an important role in promoting the work of ACCORD Hospice through presentations, networking opportunities, community engagement activity, and digital communications.

Working closely with the Fundraising & Communications Manager, you will help lead and support a collaborative fundraising culture across the organisation. The role also includes line management responsibility for the Fundraising Administrator and Community Fundraiser, ensuring effective supporter stewardship, income processing, and event support are delivered to a high standard.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience across a broad range of fundraising disciplines, including Corporate Fundraising, Legacies, Events, and General Fundraising, alongside a proven track record of delivering income growth within the voluntary sector. You will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational and relationship management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities while inspiring supporters, colleagues, and volunteers alike.

This role is stationed at our new Irvine service in North Ayrshire. We are looking for a domestic cleaner who will be working in a social care setting ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for residents, specialising in infection control and room sanitisation.

Key duties include adhering to COSHH regulations, cleaning of communal areas, and respecting resident privacy, as well as maintenance of staff areas and communal areas of buildings and grounds. In flat void cleaning and prepping with quick turnover to a high standard, candidates need to be able to undertake physically demanding tasks and be able to work on own initiative.

Due to the nature of the service, confidentiality and professionalism is a must for anyone offered the post.

Main Purpose of Post:

To develop and coordinate ‘FriendZ Meetups’ our exciting service programme for adults with Down’s syndrome, ensuring the delivery and support of social group meetings throughout Scotland. Creating opportunities for young people and adults with Down’s syndrome to develop new friendships, increase self-esteem, independence, confidence, and social skills.

To work alongside and provide direct support to DSS Engagement Worker involving weekly in person meetings and to support with travel to meetings and events.

To be responsible for a small team of volunteers within your area who will support the group meetings and includes all aspects of volunteer recruitment, training, support, maintaining and celebrating achievements. Demands of the post:

This post is home-based with a mix of online and face to face work involving travel across specific areas of Scotland. Evening work and occasional, weekend work will be required as many of the social meetups will be in the evenings. This is included in your working hours and scheduled in accordingly. Appointment to this position is subject to membership of the PVG (Scotland) Scheme.
