CEMVO Scotland is a national intermediary organisation and strategic partner of the Scottish Government Equalities Directorate. With a network of over 600 ethnic minority (EM) organisations throughout Scotland, our aim is to build the capacity of the ethnic minority voluntary sector and its communities.

We have initiated a new exciting 4-year project “Mobilising Community Action Scotland” (MCAS) in partnership with Changeworks and The Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park with funding through The National Lottery Community Fund.

The overall aim of MCAS is to increase awareness and empower EM communities to adopt nature positive and energy saving behaviours in their everyday lives.

We already have a good MCAS team in place and now looking to recruit the following post:

Financial Administrator

Responsible to: Chief Executive & Head of Operations & Resources

Salary & Hours: Part-Time, 21 hrs per week, £24,480PA (£14,687 pro-rata) + 4% pension

Length of Contract: Fixed Term to 30th September 2029

Office Base: Glasgow (Hybrid Working)

We are seeking a financial administrator with at least 3 years financial administration experience to undertake day to day financial administration of the MCAS project budget. You will provide regular financial updates on project spend to the MCAS co-ordinator and also work closely with CEMVO financial officer in day to day financial administration of MCAS, in supporting financial monitoring and reporting to the National Lottery Community Fund and in undertaking general financial administration tasks for both MCAS and CEMVO. You will also provide general administrative support to the MCAS project team when needed.

You will require a high level of book-keeping and financial administration experience with a working knowledge of Excel or Access packages. You will also require experience in producing financial reports, assisting with audit processes and processing internal and external invoicing aswell as good general administrative skills.

This established post involves key responsibilities within our small and dynamic team. The Finance Lead will manage the day-to-day financial systems, payroll, and liaising with our accountant on a regular basis to prepare and monitor budgets and accounts.

The successful candidate will be experienced, flexible, well organised, and able to show initiative. They will be enthusiastic about our work nurturing the health and wellbeing of children through song, and the Fischy Music values of positivity, respect, diversity, humour, and equality.

This role is based at the Fischy Music office in Edinburgh, with a half-day attendance required at the office on Mondays, and flexibility around additional hours/days.

We are interested to hear from anyone with:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships with team members and experienced in delivering excellent customer service.
• Strong IT skills with willingness to learn new systems, develop and implement new procedures, and propose solutions for problems. Key systems include Stripe, Xero, Umbraco and Shopify (training will be provided where needed).
• Attention to detail, delivering accurate, reliable and timely outputs
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and organise work to tight deadlines
• Relevant professional qualifications and/or at least two years’ experience in a related role.

We have recently secured funding from the Scottish Illegal Money Lending Unit (Trading Standards) and The Robertson Trust to continue our Financial Capability Programme.

We’re looking for a Financial Capability Officer to support ethnic minority communities across Scotland to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence to make informed financial decisions and improve long-term resilience.

You’ll deliver engaging support both online and face-to-face, working directly with individuals and community organisations, while connecting people to the right money and welfare advice services.

The Role of Activity Centre Manager:

Reporting to the senior management team, the Activity Centre Manager will have overall responsibility for the operational management, development, and day-to-day leadership of the centre, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and commercially successful activities.

You will oversee all aspects of centre operations, including activity delivery, staffing, facilities, equipment, and logistics, while ensuring every guest experience meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of instructors and operational staff, creating a positive, professional, and safety-led culture, supporting their training, development, and performance.

This is a hands-on, dynamic role where operational excellence, proactive problem-solving, and strong organisational skills are critical. You will ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, licensing, and safeguarding requirements, maintaining robust systems for risk assessment, incident management, and emergency planning. You will also work closely with the senior management team to achieve business targets, optimise income, and support the ongoing development of the site, facilities, and equipment.

We are keen to hear from individuals who bring strong operational and people-management experience, whether from a charity, outdoor activity, or commercial environment. In particular, candidates with a Business Development background are encouraged to apply, especially those who have experience driving income growth, building partnerships, and identifying new opportunities, alongside delivering high-quality services or operations.

The role is primarily Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required during peak periods, including occasional weekend working to support operational needs.
