Role

Working days will include Fridays 10am-3pm and preferably Tuesday mornings (flexibility can be offered over Monday to Friday for the remainder of the hours)

Govan Community Project provides a range of holistic services for people seeking asylum, refugees and vulnerable migrants in the Greater Govan area of Glasgow, including the provision of a weekly Women’s Group.

You will be responsible for coordinating group activities which will create a safe, inclusive space to support the group members’ wellbeing and support integration in the Greater Govan area, working in partnership with GCP community members, key stakeholders and external agencies.

Our ideal candidate will have experience of working and/or volunteering with vulnerable people and those going through the asylum process, and an awareness of trauma-informed practice. You will have experience of facilitating community groups, and understand the principles of social justice, empowerment and integration issues. Alongside confidence in budgeting and monitoring and evaluation methods, you will have excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
