Based in Alloa and serving Clackmannanshire and surrounding areas, Reachout is a community arts and mental health charity committed to compassion, creativity, and inclusion. For over 30 years, they have used the power of the arts to support those in the local community experiencing mental ill health, reduce social isolation, and build a sense of belonging. Their welcoming studio space offers a diverse programme of facilitated arts activities designed to help people express themselves, build confidence, and maintain their wellbeing.

The organisation is proud to be a small but committed team, working collaboratively with partners and rooted in their members’ voices. They are now looking for a new colleague to join their senior team and lead on the day-to-day running of the operations and finances.

Responsibilities of the Operations and Finance Manager

This is a key leadership role, responsible for maintaining and developing the operational backbone of the organisation. Reporting to the Executive Artistic Director and Board, this role will lead on finance management, HR administration, compliance, governance, and strategic support. The post holder will ensure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly.

We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Adviser to join the Commission on a permanent basis.

1. To manage the recruitment process for all staff ensuring job descriptions and person specifications are up to date, draft adverts for line manager approval, manage relationship with advertising agency and organise interview schedule in accordance with Commission policy and procedures.

2. Process all information relevant to starters and leavers to ensure that staff recruitment and departures are managed in accordance with Commission policies and procedures.

3. Ensure that sickness absence is managed equitably across the Commission and that this is carried out in accordance with the Commission’s Ill Health Policy.

4. Plan, produce and implement induction processes to ensure that there is ap-propriate material available for all new staff and part time Commissioners and a structured environment for the delivery of induction.

5. Prepare, maintain and analyse the training and development database, ensuring that staff have the required training to carry out their roles, continuous professional obligations are met, budgetary control, and the Commission has ac-curate and current records on all staff.

6. Produce quarterly management information, covering issues such as sick absence levels, staff turnover, secondment information and training undertaken, for Management Group, to enable them to make informed staff planning and management decisions.

7. Manage the administration of the Commission’s appraisal system, ensuring that appraisal discussions are completed fully and on time, are in line with the Commission’s policies and procedures and appropriate information is fed into the training strategy.

8. Undertake, or contribute to, specific project work under the di-rection of the HR Manager to ensure HR systems and processes accommodate the changing requirements of the Commission and are in keeping with best practice.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our professional and multi-disciplinary team. This role will provide specialist health intelligence advice and practical support to colleagues within the Commission bringing together the current internal and external data, information and evidence based policy and practice to create informed analyses and interpretation, to support decision making and monitor mental health and incapacity legislation.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual who is educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent experience, with highly developed written and oral communication skills, extensive skills in data collection methods, quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods, techniques and software as well as statistical analysis.

Fool On are recruiting for a part-time (16 hours per week) project co-ordinator, based at our offices in Coatbridge.

Fool On are a well established charity in North Lanarkshire. The charity was established in 2015 with the aim of promoting recovery from mental health issues through performing arts.

We currently operate 4 community outreach groups, featuring guitar lessons, singing and comedy writing workshops. We hold frequent performances for our members to show off their newfound skills and confidence and have recently taken part in the Glasgow International Comedy Festival!

This role is fixed term for 2 years and is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
