We are looking for a full time Family Group Decision Making coordinator to join our team within West Lothian. As an FGDM coordinator you will work with children and families of all ages and at different stages of risk and need.

Family Group Decision Making is working with family groups in a strengths-based way to support them to create Family Plans, keeping children safe and at home within their family networks.

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in Family Group Decision Making, or strengths-based approaches to working with families, and would like to extend their skill set.

About the role

Children in Scotland is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant to support the work of our national services. The candidate will play an important part in these services by providing efficient administration support including dealing appropriately with enquiries received, co-ordinating internal and external meetings and events, supporting evaluation activity and supporting the Service Managers in the fulfilment of their duties.

This role will primarily support the work of the Enquire and Children’s Views services, both of which focus on children and young people with additional support needs and their rights within education.

We are looking for someone with experience in an admin role, with excellent organisational and communication skills to provide high quality support to our staff teams.

Children First, Scotland’s national children’s charity, is seeking to appoint a Support Line Coordinator. By joining our team, you will help us stand up for children, keep them safe and support them to recover from trauma and abuse through our national and local services.

The role

Based in Edinburgh, with hybrid working an option, the role involves offering expert care, guidance and support for families, carers and professionals in Scotland. Delivering high quality information and support in a timely manner to enable you to handle a large volume of inbound and outbound calls.

You will be required to maintain accurate records that inform the charity and support with service development and meeting our organisational strategy.

Today’s generation are facing unprecedented challenges. From mental health, money worries and online harm, to struggles at school, our support line can offer emotional, practical and financial support to any family in Scotland. We also offer advice to anyone who is concerned about a child’s wellbeing.

Taking a child-centred approach, you will work to ensure the safety of children and young people by protecting and promoting their rights.

Please note - there is one permanent post available, and two fixed-term posts initially until 31st March 2026 (with the possibility of extension).

What we are looking for

You will possess a diploma in social work, or a relevant professional qualification (e.g. Health, Education, Community Education) at SCQF level 9.

You will have experience managing or supervising staff, volunteers, and students with experience of project planning and an ability to identify and manage risks.

Children First, Scotland’s national children’s charity, is seeking to appoint a corporate fundraiser (12-month contract). By joining our team, you will help us stand up for children, keep them safe and support them to recover from trauma and abuse through our national and local services.

Working with the corporate & partnership manager you will implement Children First’s corporate fundraising and partnerships strategy. Developing strategic and transformational partnerships is critical to growing unrestricted and restricted sustainable income. You will play a key role in securing new partnerships, including charity of the year, and developing stewardship journeys ensuring partners feel valued and understand the impact they are making.

The successful candidate will be an experienced corporate fundraiser with a proven track record and at least one years’ experience in a similar role.
