Role

The postholders, will provide 1-1 and group work to people, who have experienced alcohol/substance use, mental health issues and associated issues and are now seeking to maintain their recovery journey.

The postholders will work closely with the multidisciplinary Beacons recovery team including the counsellors and recovery workers to promote, encourage and celebrate recovery. They will be able to foster a culture and maintain a psychologically informed environment. We are looking for Mental Health & Wellbeing Practitioners who work in an integrative way, providing psychosocial and psychological interventions rather than being confined to a single therapeutic approach.

Demonstrable experience of working in a similar area of work and designing, developing and facilitating, group programmes and workshops are requirements for this post.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience and be able to demonstrate working effectively in a similar support role.
  • The ability to build trust based effective, relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Have a proactive and dynamic personal style, with flexibility in style and approach.
