Role

An exciting opportunity has become available with Lochalsh and Skye Housing Association to work with the Board and staff team to lead the association to embrace future opportunities in providing quality housing and supporting communities in this unique setting.

Lochalsh and Skye Housing Association is an independent housing association based on the Isle of Skye and has stock of nearly 900 properties. The association continues to grow with an active development programme in place stretching well ahead. We are focused on delivering excellent services to tenants and communities and enjoy an excellent reputation for this.

Our new Chief Executive will ensure that the association achieves quality throughout all its activities incorporating the following areas:

• Working alongside the board to ensure effective governance systems are in place.

• Lead on the implementation of the association’s business plan, ensuring staff have a clear understanding of their role in delivering this.

• Provide leadership to all staff in the association, ensuring continued high quality services are provided to tenants and communities.

• Maintain the financial wellbeing of the association.

• Ensure effective strategies and policies are in place to maintain the association’s assets, ensuring good quality and legislative compliance.

The association is committed to developing and supporting our people as they are key to delivering our mission and strategic themes. As an EVH employer we provide a generous set of terms and conditions of employment, a career average pension scheme along with flexible working options including the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis.

As our new Chief Executive, you will share our desire to remain an independent locally controlled association which builds, manages and maintains stock to the highest possible standards across the whole area. You will be educated to degree level or with equivalent experience, demonstrate a solid understanding of the social housing sector, and will have significant experience, at a senior level, within an RSL or related organisation.
