- 35 hours a week over core working hours of 10am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. The office is open 8am – 6pm daily and our hybrid working policy requires all full-time employees to work at least two days a week in the Edinburgh office.

To help start new cancer cures around the and fund discovery cancer research, we are looking for a Trusts and Foundations Officer to join our busy Philanthropy team.
About the Trusts and Foundations Officer role and why we need you
By joining our friendly, committed charity you’ll be making an impact every day. Working within the Fundraising & Philanthropy team, you will have the opportunity to shape and deliver our Trusts and Foundations Strategy by seeking out new funding opportunities, building lasting relationships and writing compelling applications. These three priorities will need you to be proactive in organising and planning your workload. You will be comfortable communicating with people at all levels, both your internal colleagues and external organisations. The role also gives you the chance to show why discovery research is vital to starting new cancer cures, and as a highly collaborative charity, your colleagues will be eager to share their expertise with you.
The charity’s values are Curious, United, Real, Entrepreneurial and Spirited, which you can readily demonstrate day to day. You will be an advocate for our vision and act as a role model for the charity when in touch with prospects.

Job summary: The Supporter Relations Team plays a pivotal role in building relationships with our supporters and assisting our fundraising team to raise vital funds that will support our mission to beat blood cancer within a generation. The main purpose of this role is to deliver excellent customer service to our supporters from the beginning of their journey with Blood Cancer UK. Our processes need to be as efficient and effective as possible to get the best from our supporters.

Our Hospital to Home services forms a nationwide network of local support groups, nurses, volunteers and one-to-one support teams helping families adjust to life with a heart or lung condition or after a stroke.
[We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join the team in our new Boutique store in Peebles, working 13 hours per week, including Sundays, but flexibility to work overtime when required. You will be working with the team to drive performance through processing stock, generating donations, and working alongside a great team of volunteers.

Information & Advocacy Community Support Workers (Scotland) x 2

We are looking for 2 part time Information & Advocacy Community Support Workers in Scotland, one based in North Scotland (Inverness area due to travel requirements and location of NHS services) and one based in Central Scotland (for a 2 year contract).
You will ensure that service users (children and adults) and their families, receive high quality support, from the point of diagnosis and throughout their journey, and will assist them to access funding, equipment and care and support that they are entitled to. You will join a team that makes a real difference to the lives of the people living with muscle-wasting conditions, and their families, in Scotland. The role will be primarily home based, but there will also be a requirement to attend outpatient clinics within the region, attend home visits where appropriate and to support responding to queries through the helpline and information inbox. Some travel will be required to attend meetings and events outside of Scotland. You will work with both statutory and voluntary organisations, clinicians, and health and social care professionals to ensure that people living with muscle wasting conditions get the care and support they need to live well and independently.

Muscular Dystrophy UK (MDUK) is the charity for the 110,000 people living with muscle-wasting conditions in the UK. We bring together people affected by more than 60 rare and very rare progressive muscle-weakening and wasting conditions. We provide vital information, advice, resources and support for people with these conditions, their families and the professionals who work with them. Our care, information and advocacy service coordinate our support for families, providing advice and practical support to enable individuals to access the services, benefits and equipment they are entitled to.
