Role

Community Volunteers Enabling You (COVEY) has operated across Lanarkshire for 31 years supporting 4,500 children, young people and parents/carers to become more resilient, safe and better equipped to reach their full potential. COVEY provides 1-1 and group-based befriending, mentoring and intensive family support.

We are recruiting for two positions, one is a F/T permanent role and the other is a 12 months maternity cover position. For both roles, we are seeking a passionate, caring and proactive individual, with exceptional management skills and significant experience supporting individuals or families within Health or Social Care. Reporting directly into the Deputy CEO & Operations Leader, the Projects Lead will ensure all support within COVEY is governed appropriately and is compliant with voluntary, statutory and regulatory requirements. Furthermore, this role will lead on delivery of all support within the COVEY projects, ensuring improved outcomes in health and wellbeing, social connections, confidence and increased engagement with education, training, volunteering or employment.

It is essential you have:

  • Degree level qualification in Health and Social Care, Youth or Community Development or equivalent. This may be substituted in cases where substantial relevant experience and appropriate skill set can be demonstrated.
  • At least 3 years’ experience of assessing and supporting children, young people and adults with various complex difficulties
  • At least 3 years’ experience in development and management of staff, volunteers and students
  • Significant experience of managing staff, students and volunteers in the reporting and recording of Safeguarding, in line with Child Protection/Adult Protection/Protection of Vulnerable Adults and other appropriate Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Driving Licence with access to a car for business use/purposes
