Role

White Ribbon Scotland is a primary prevention campaign seeking to involve men who do not perpetrate violence against women (VAW) in helping to reduce, and ultimately end it. We are an autonomous part of the world’s largest movement involving men and boys. We ask for people to pledge that they will ‘never commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women in all its forms’.

We accept and understand that violence against women is both a cause and consequence of gender inequality. We recognise that gender equality is good for society as a whole and benefits all genders including men. When we have a truly gender equal society, we are in a position to make the most of everyone’s talents regardless of whether they lie within the parameters often suggested by societal ‘norms’ or not.

White Ribbon Scotland currently has over 20 Status Projects across all of Scotland, ranging from the Scottish Borders to the Orkney Islands. Volunteers within such areas, organisations, education institutions, etc, all dedicate their time and resources to help end men’s violence against women, within and beyond their own communities. Good work is recognised with the award of White Ribbon Status.

We are looking for a Campaign Administrator to work closely with the Campaign Director, Project Worker, Finance Officer and Board members to support the organisation in its everyday operations. This will be achieved through the completion of administrative tasks and with a focus on implementing the new WRS volunteer management system, Volunteero, in collaboration with key stakeholders, including members of our Status Projects and similar.
