The Beacon Club
The Beacon Club is an enriching and stimulating day service for older people living with dementia, mild cognitive impairment and those facing social isolation.
Our dedicated staff and volunteers work to improve the quality of life of our members by providing a tasty lunch, fun activities and company in a safe social setting.
While members are at the club their carers also benefit from some respite, knowing that the person they care for is in good hands.
The Beacon Club operates across South Edinburgh with bases in the South West at The Broomhouse Hub, currently running Monday – Friday, and in the South East at Tron Kirk Gilmerton, currently running two days per week with expansion planned.
The Role
Space is looking for a caring and passionate manager to join our team, taking the lead role in our Beacon Club.
The Beacon Club Project Manager will ensure a quality, effective and compliant service is delivered, whilst holding the needs and fulfilment of the members at the forefront.
The role will include:
The successful post holder will have a sound understanding of the needs and challenges faced by older people living with dementia, either through lived experience or professional practice.
They should also have good knowledge of any legislation and regulations relating to older people, and be aware of community based services or networks available in the localities.
They will be able to demonstrate prior leadership in a team management role.
