Role
Our vibrant and busy services across Glasgow provide support to people concerned about their own or someone else's alcohol or drug use. We have three Recovery Hubs (in North East, North West and South Glasgow), however much of our work is carried out in the local community. We work with people at all stages on their journey providing both one to one appointments and group work.
We are looking for a enthusiastic and dynamic Recovery Workers who are motivated to work as part of a thriving and diverse team, ensuring recovery opportunities are available for individuals at any point in their recovery journey. You will strive to work collaboratively with partners and communities, ensuring that we are as accessible as possible and that the principles of a Recovery Oriented System of Care and true person centred practice are at the heart of all that we do.
Our Recovery Workers play a vital role in supporting clients to identify their goals, ambitions, and passions. You’ll work with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to guide them on their path to recovery. This is a frontline role at WithYou, where you will provide continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, key work responsibilities, and intervention delivery. You will manage an active caseload, connecting quickly with clients and ensuring they’re always treated with respect and dignity.
This role is permanent and will work 37,5 hours per week across 7 days, evening and weekend work will be required. As a Recovery Worker, we offer a starting salary of £26,250 per annum, rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, to £30,000 per annum. Essential Skills
We are looking for excellent communicators, who have the ability to build trust and put people at ease during their first meeting with our service. You will have demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, or a clear motivation for wanting to work in the drug and alcohol sector. A successful track record of providing efficient and reliable customer service is essential. An SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Health care is desirable for this post.
You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, and be able to manage your time effectively. You will work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure a high-quality service is maintained. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do and has a positive and engaging approach to our clients and key stakeholders.

We are looking for a Recovery Worker to support the development of our service in Oban, Lorn and across the Small Isles. Ideally you will be able to travel across the area, as well as offering support from our base in Oban.
As a Recovery Worker you will be comfortable supporting people affected by substance use issues, and their families, to make change using evidence-based approaches. You will work with a range of local partners to ensure people can access support to improve their health and wellbeing. You will be confident using a range of approaches to offer support, including remote ways of working, such as phone and virtual appointments.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to individuals and families. You’ll be a vital part of a compassionate, frontline team dedicated to reducing harm and promoting positive change for individuals impacted by drug and alcohol use. Our support is for those aged 18 and over and we work alongside NHS and third-sector partners.
Our wider team covers all of Argyll and Bute through an outreach delivery model. You will manage a caseload of individuals and family members. While you’ll work with independence, you’re never alone - you will be backed by a solid team, with guidance from management and training and development. The role of the Employability Support worker is to support participants who are in the earlier stages of their employability journey. The Employability Support Worker will support participants with confidence building and motivation and will prepare participants to work towards training, education and volunteering.

The Role
To provide administrative support within a specified residential service, particularly in relation to finance transactions, customer relations and data management. In addition, to cover the administration, oversee the referral and admissions processes and to provide secretarial and other support to the managers and other members of the total staff team.
The Service
Phoenix Futures’ Scottish Residential Service offers a drug and alcohol free environment with structured support for people 18 years of age or over who are looking to address their problematic drug and/or alcohol use and improve their mental health. We have been successfully supporting people to achieve long term recovery for more than 30 years in Scotland and for over 50 years across the wider UK. We offer programmes of both 3 and 6 months in length based on the need of the individual. The spacious service provides for 31 residents who are supported through the evidence-based Therapeutic Community model. We are seeking an exceptional individual to be part of our team at our Care Inspectorate registered residential rehabilitation service in West Aberdeenshire. You'll be supported by a charitable organisation with extensive experience in launching and managing top-tier registered care services.
Aligned with our vision of empowering individuals impacted by substance use and associated needs, we're collaborating with national and local partners to deliver safe and effective residential care services. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that every individual we support receives the highest quality of care and guidance.
Your role in our therapeutic community will be key. You will manage a caseload, assess the people who use our service and manage their recovery/care plans. It will mean developing and applying a range of therapeutic approaches to meet their individual needs, whether that’s employment, education, health etc. You’ll be the one who sees that everything is coordinated from the moment they’re referred to us to the time that they move home.
As a Therapeutic Worker, you will support individuals accessing the residential rehabilitation programme to achieve outcomes that help create long-term recovery. Using the Therapeutic Community “community as method” model you will empower individuals, families and communities to be confident about recovery.
You will support the day to day running of the therapeutic community, ensuring residents’ needs are met and the best possible care is provided in an environment that promotes a culture of recovery. Whilst also being confident to deliver therapeutic groups, activities, and specialist interventions in accordance with the TC manual and the needs of the service.
Previous experience is desirable, however not essential. Therapeutic Workers come from many different backgrounds and experiences, and you may have the skills required. We are seeking dedicated individuals, based on your values, willingness to learn new skills and the compassion to deliver the best service possible to our residents.
You will be expected to work a rolling rota which includes evening and weekend working.
About You
To join us as a Therapeutic Worker at Rae House, you will need:
- An understanding of the complex issues presented by individuals within drug and alcohol recovery.
- An understanding of working with individuals in the substance use sector or related field.
- The ability to be innovative and be flexible in order to meet the needs of the service.
- Be able to work effectively with multi-agencies, whilst maintaining the excellent reputation of the service.
- Knowledge of adult protection is essential as you will be working with vulnerable adults in a residential setting.
