About the Role:

As Service Manager, you will be responsible for providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for homeless people within your service. You will manage and lead a team delivering quality housing support/accommodation and housing management service and to support people experiencing homelessness to build their skills and confidence to sustain their own tenancy. In Oban there are 2 services, Shore Street & Solas, and as such transitional work between the 2 services is required. This role is 35 hours per week and will be Monday-Friday.

Main Responsibilities:

As Service Manager, you will:

• Lead, manage and develop the staff team and others where appropriate (e.g. students, trainees etc.) to meet the objectives of the service, delegating tasks where appropriate.
• Promote and encourage the professional development of staff, including onboarding, supervision, core competencies, in-house training and external training.
• Ensure adequate staffing cover is provided for the service at all times by appropriate shift rotas and deployment of employees, both permanent and relief.
• Manage all aspects of the service in line with Blue Triangle, statutory and legislative requirements and take a lead role in the strategic development of the service.

This role is stationed at our Clydesdale Street service in Hamilton. We are looking for a domestic cleaner who will be working in a social care setting ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for residents, specialising in infection control and room sanitisation. Key duties include adhering to COSHH regulations, cleaning of communal areas, and respecting resident privacy, as well as maintenance of staff areas and communal areas of buildings and grounds. In flat void cleaning and prepping with quick turnover to a high standard, candidates need to be able to undertake physically demanding tasks and be able to work on own initiative. Due to the nature of the service, confidentiality and professionalism is a must for anyone offered the post. There are a variety of tasks to undertake and applicants should hold a strong knowledge of health and safety processes. Must be willing to attend training which may extend working hours on those days and have a focus on personal development .

Our Oban services is looking for Relief workers to cover varied shifts on weekdays and weekends, both within our residential and outreach services. You’ll take day-to-day responsibility for monitoring allocated landlord health and safety compliance programmes, making sure actions are progressed, records are accurate and potential risks are identified and escalated. You’ll monitor compliance activity across key areas including gas, electrical safety, fire safety, asbestos, water hygiene and legionella, lifting equipment, damp and mould, and other landlord compliance requirements. A CIH Level 3 qualification, or equivalent relevant property management/maintenance experience, is essential.
