Role

As a Birch Resource Worker, you will implement a range of interventions and support measures as part of an integrated package of health, therapeutic and social support. Birch is designed to address the complex needs of individuals who have lost the care of their children to the care system, providing intensive support to enable change in their lives and ultimately reduce the number of children removed into care. You will deliver a relationship-based programme where frequency, tenacity and creativity are central. The post holder will assess the needs of individuals referred to the service and plan and deliver a proportionate response to the presenting issues. Work will be delivered through one-to-one intervention and group settings across a range of sites. You will also support the development of the service by contributing to the content and style of programmes and interventions, liaising with other agencies and professionals to promote the service, and identifying specific gaps in provision within the local area. As this role combines community outreach and office-based work, applicants must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle, as regular travel is required. Following appointment, there will be an induction period based at the TCA Dundee office. Ongoing attendance at team meetings, supervision, and in-house training sessions at TCA Dundee will form part of the role.
