Geeza Break is a long established, unique social care organisation providing family support, peer support, group work and a planned respite service for children, young people and their families in the local community. We predominantly deliver services in and across the Northeast of Glasgow.

We provide a high quality, person centred, trauma informed service for children and young people ages 0-16 years, often with disabilities and additional support or learning needs, and their families. The charity has been operational since 1992, and we remain committed to retaining a holistic, non-judgemental and inclusive approach and ethos to our services.

The post holder will work directly with parents, carers, and where appropriate children to strengthen family relationships. The successful candidate will provide practical and emotional support to families to support and improve parenting capacity, and promote safer, healthier lifestyles and positive wellbeing outcomes.

We are a learning organisation promoting training and professional development opportunities, peer support for reflective practice sharing as well as regular support and supervision sessions, within a nurturing and welcoming team.

Organisational Structure

To be accountable overall to the Chief Executive Officer and line managed by The Senior Family Support Worker.

Attendance at thrice yearly peer support sessions with respite colleagues to promote and support reflective practice.

CoWL are seeking an individual to join our team, with a particular focus on finances but will also include administering the Short Breaks Time to Live scheme, HR and health and safety.

The successful candidate will:

• Provide comprehensive financial and administrative support to CoWL

• Provide effective and efficient administrative support required for HR

• Provide general administration of the building and the associated facilities including health and safety.

• Provide effective and efficient administrative support required for the successful delivery of the Short Breaks Time to Live scheme.

• Work with the Short Breaks Co-ordinator, to promote, develop and arrange short breaks which lead to positive outcomes for carers, young carers and disabled people.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide administrative support across the organisation, including:

• Managing office administration systems, records and databases.

• Supporting meetings, events and engagement activities.

• Providing administrative support to project staff and lived experience groups.

• Preparing agendas, papers and meeting notes, including minute taking.

• Assisting with financial administration, invoices and payment processes.

• Supporting training administration, bookings and participant communications.

• Maintaining mailing lists, website updates and communications materials.

• Providing administrative support to the Board of Trustees
