Falkirk Football Community Foundation is recruiting a Centre Circle Project Lead and a Family Support Coach to help establish our new whole family support programme.

We are looking for people who care about getting support right for families. People who listen without judgement, build trust and follow through with practical help.

Following a successful award from the Whole Family Support Third Sector Delivery Fund, we are joining four other football community charities across Scotland to deliver Centre Circle. Together, we will help families access practical, financial and wellbeing support earlier and more easily.

Here in Falkirk, you will have the opportunity to shape that support from the outset, working alongside families and drawing on the Foundation’s programmes, community connections and local partnerships.

You will lead delivery in Falkirk, manage and support the Family Support Coaches, and coordinate work with local services and the wider partnership. We are looking for someone with family support or related experience who can guide a team, make sound decisions and turn a plan into dependable support.

Street Soccer is a charity using football to create lasting change in the lives of isolated and excluded adults and young people. We run 60 sessions a week of free, inclusive and judgement-free football. These sessions provide person-centred support to players facing a number of challenges including mental health, homelessness, long term unemployment, problem substance use, criminal justice and seeking asylum. Our mission is to create hope and opportunity for all.

We support thousands of players a year on their journey to positive change by providing a safe space, trusting relationships and a sense of belonging. We fight isolation and exclusion by bringing people together, building confidence and creating supportive communities. At the heart of this initiative is the Leith Community Centre, a vibrant hub for creativity, support, and connection.

Role Purpose

The Street Soccer Women’s programme (previously Street45) provides a safe, supportive space where socially disadvantaged women and girls can be active, connect and build confidence while engaging in football related activity and personal development opportunities.

The Women’s Programme Co-Ordinator will be responsible for developing the Women’s Programme across Scotland in areas including Ayrshire, Glasgow, the Central Belt and Fife . Responsible for sourcing and managing suitable venues for sessions to take place. They will recruit and work with partners to ensure players get the right level of support across a variety of issues. They will grow the number of players attending sessions by promoting these across the community in a variety of ways.

An enthusiastic person, the Women’s Programme Co-Ordinator will be able to build relationships with a series of communities where sessions take place. They will also work with the Fundraising Team to establish local opportunities for sponsorship and other support.

The Women’s Programme Co-Ordinator will also be involved in our Team Scotland Women’s activity including the annual Homeless World Cup Tournament.

The Spartans Community Foundation operates from a £1.4 million purpose-built Education & Youth Work space, creating exciting opportunities to expand our impact and support even more children and young people across North Edinburgh.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced, and motivated individual with a strong range of youth work skills and experience to join our vibrant and dedicated Senior Alternative School and Youth Work team where the successful candidate will support young people within our Junior Alternative School.

Key Objective:

Deliver and develop a high-quality face-to-face youth work service aimed at meeting the needs of children and young people through informal activity-based youth work sessions in an alternative education setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with young people based on mutual trust and respect.
• Deliver direct face-to-face work with young people in existing and new youth work provision.
• Encourage the involvement of young people in the planning and evaluation of programmes.
• Assist with service development by effectively contributing to planning, delivery, and monitoring and evaluation requirements.
• Develop reflective practice and attend supervision as required.
• Assist in the development of programmes that promote equal opportunities and inclusive environments.
• Deliver a range of fun, engaging activities suitable for various age ranges in a school based setting and alternative education setting.
• Use a wide range of resources to effectively engage with all young people.
• Ensure health and safety is always maintained to the required standards.
• Carry out any other duties as required, including the possibility of residential trips and holiday programmes as required.

Skills Required

• Experience of working with and developing trusting relationships with children and young people aged 7-16 years old.

Saints in the Community is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Sports Coordinator to lead the development of our football and wider sports programmes across Perth & Kinross.

We are the official charity associated with St. Johnstone Football Club, using the reach and identity of the Club and football to create opportunities and improve lives across our community through Sport, Education and Wellbeing. From grassroots and girls' football to disability sport, schools, holiday programmes, walking football and adult activity, our work reaches a hugely diverse range of people.

The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the next chapter of sport at Saints in the Community.

Football will be at the heart of the role. You will help us grow participation, develop programmes, support coaches, build partnerships and make sure our sports offer is inclusive, engaging and sustainable.

Around 70% of your time will focus on programme management, development and coordination, with around 30% on hands-on coaching and delivery. You will lead the sports team while still getting out into the community and delivering sessions yourself.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone with practical community sport or coaching experience, a strong understanding of grassroots football, and the confidence to lead people, manage programmes and build relationships.

You’ll need to be organised, proactive and excited by the opportunity to develop new ideas and grow our sports offer.

A UEFA C Licence or equivalent is required, but if you don’t already have it, we’ll fund the qualification for the right person who is willing to work towards it.
