Community Volunteers Enabling You (COVEY) has been a lifeline for children, young people and families across Lanarkshire since 1992. We provide one-to-one and group-based befriending, mentoring and family support services tailored to those who need it most. Our mission is to help children, young people and families become more resilient, safe and better equipped to reach their full potential.

COVEY is entering an important period of growth. Our 2025-28 Strategy sets out ambitious plans to increase income, grow unrestricted funding, strengthen our external profile and develop wider community support for the charity.

As Corporate, Community & Events Fundraising Manager, you will lead the development of corporate partnerships, community fundraising and events, helping COVEY grow sustainable unrestricted income and build long-term relationships with supporters.

This is a new role with real scope to build on COVEY’s existing relationships with volunteers, staff, trustees, supporters, funders, schools, employers, community partners and local networks to identify new fundraising opportunities and partnerships.

You will also help shape fundraising activity linked to COVEY’s 35th anniversary in 2027, using this milestone to raise our profile and build long-term supporter relationships beyond the anniversary year.

This role would suit someone who is confident, proactive and relationship-focused, with the ability to spot opportunities, make compelling asks, build partnerships and turn interest into meaningful support for children, young people and families.

What we’re looking for:

• A successful track record of generating income, developing partnerships, identifying new leads and converting opportunities into active support
• Knowledge of corporate, community and events fundraising, including supporter stewardship, sponsorship, challenge events, employee fundraising, Charity of the Year partnerships and community-led fundraising
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including confidence in networking, presenting and making fundraising asks
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage fundraising activity, events, budgets, supporter communications and CRM records

Right There has spent 200 years making sure that fewer people in Scotland end up homeless and fewer families fall apart. Last year alone, almost 4,000 people got the support they needed to stay in their homes and stay close to the people they love. We are a charity with a clear, urgent mission. We need you to help us make sure children, young people and families in Glasgow and the West get the right support, at the right time, from teams who are confident, skilled and well led.

This is a new Locality Manager role working alongside our Head of Children and Families. You will lead the strategic implementation and operational management of our Glasgow and West Children and Families programmes, including Young People Family Support, Mentoring, and South Ayrshire Supported Accommodation.

This is work with children, young people and families whose lives are affected by poverty, care experience, housing insecurity, trauma and family breakdown. Your role

• Leading services well. You will directly manage delivery across our Glasgow and West Children and Families programmes, making sure services are safe, person-centred, strengths-based and aligned with Right There’s aims, values and strategic objectives. 
• Keeping the focus on quality and outcomes. You will lead delivery in line with agreed outcomes, robust operational controls and best-practice legislation and guidance, including UNCRC, The Promise, GIRFEC, Care Inspectorate standards and SSSC Codes of Practice. 
• Supporting teams to do their best work. You will lead, coach and develop service managers, coordinators and delivery teams, creating a positive culture where people feel supported, accountable and able to learn through reflective practice.
• Making data useful. You will make sure service data, KPIs, reporting and quality assurance are accurate, timely and used well, so decisions are grounded in evidence and services keep improving.
• Growing and developing services. You will take ownership of service development and annual business planning, investigating opportunities that align with existing provision and supporting proposals and tenders for new and developing work.
• Building trusted partnerships. You will represent Right There with commissioners, local authorities, social work, housing, health services, the Care Inspectorate and other partners, making sure relationships are purposeful, professional and rooted in the needs of the people we support.
• Managing risk, resources and compliance. You will oversee budgets, staffing, safeguarding, health and safety, complaints, reporting requirements and service standards, making sure the practical foundations are strong enough to support excellent delivery.

You will need the right qualifications, or be willing to work towards them, including SVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care and SVQ Level 4 in Management or SCQF equivalent. You will also need to be able to travel across agreed geographical areas, with a driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.

Our offer

Salary up to £44,436 per annum. Full time, permanent, 35 hours per week, reporting to the Head of Children and Families. Your core place of work will be 15 Dava Street, Glasgow, with a minimum of three days per week in the office and travel across Glasgow and West programmes as required. We are Right There, a charity that recently celebrated our 200th anniversary. We provide tailored support for people, at home, and in the community. We are here for people who are living with the effects of homelessness, poverty, substance use, or family breakdowns.

Job Description

Purpose

As a core member of our Scotland Hub team, you'll be the on-the-ground catalyst for empowering and developing debt centres and coaching services (Job Club, Life Skills and Money Coaching) within an appropriate area of Scotland. You'll serve as the primary contact between churches and our Scotland Hub, providing vital support and driving excellence in services.

Your key focus will be to inspire, equip, and encourage local CAP workers and church leaders, enabling them to effectively address financial vulnerability and crisis within their communities. You'll build and nurture strong relationships with church leaders, debt coaches and group coaches, ensuring high-quality service delivery and impactful outcomes. You will build and develop strong local networks connecting centres and services together in specific Scotland-wide settings including overseeing our growing work in Scottish Prisons.

Area Partnership Managers will be passionate about developing our relationship with churches and local CAP workers to offer life transforming CAP services to local communities across the UK, whilst giving clients the opportunity to hear and respond to the love of Jesus.

Person

Area Partnership Managers (Scotland) report to the Scotland National Leader. This role sits within the Service Delivery directorate.

This role doesn’t have any CAP staff reporting directly to it. However, this role is responsible for engaging local CAP workers and church leaders in churches, using influence and persuasion rather than position power.

This role specifically focuses on supporting CAP services in Scotland, the exact mix being determined by the make-up of the team. It is expected that the Area Partnership Manager is a hybrid role based out of our Scottish office in Blantyre. This role involves a significant amount of travel to visit partner churches, centres and services across Scotland. In addition there will be termly visits to CAP’s Bradford hub.
