Role

Yoker Resource Centre aims to assist individuals that are elderly or have mild physical disability to maintain the ability to stay in their own homes. Based in Yoker Community Campus, the Project Co-ordinater will work with others to address problems of social exclusion and isolation. In doing so you will be enabling service users to participate in a wide range of community social, recreational, and educational activities. You will liaise with established partner agencies and services that will support and improve their quality of life and therefore maintain their ability to live independently.

Applicants are invited from those with leadership skills and hold a caring and genuine commitment to understanding and working closely with people who are elderly or suffer mild disability. The post holder will require ability to communicate at all levels. The post demands supervision of staff and voluntary workers, as well as the ability to promote and develop the needs for an integrated lifestyle for the users of the service.

Experience and working with support agencies would be an advantage as would an understanding of the emotional, physical and social needs of the elderly and their families.
