We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Fundraising Manager to help grow sustainable income and extend our impact across Forth Valley and beyond. This new role offers the chance to shape our fundraising strategy, build strong partnerships and support vital mental health services in our community.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in exceeding fundraising targets and securing donations and legacies from a diverse range of sources, alongside leading on fundraising growth.

If you can bring significant, demonstrable experience of working in a similar role within a charity or not for profit organisation along with the ability to increase donations and unrestricted income streams and ability to achieve year on year growth in fundraised income then we would love to hear from you.

Our holistic approach provides a wide range of trauma-informed services, including 1-2-1 therapy sessions, coaching, group sessions, advocacy services, befriending, mental health and wellbeing sessions, safety planning, and meaningful activities.

The Role

We are seeking an exceptional leader to join us as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This is a unique hybrid executive position designed for an accomplished professional who thrives on combining strategic vision with robust operational governance.

Working 28 hours per week, you will serve as the central anchor of integration for the charity. While day-to-day task execution is successfully delegated to our specialized team leads, you will hold ultimate organizational accountability for safeguarding, regulatory compliance, financial sustainability, and strategic stakeholder relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership & Alignment: Maintain continuous oversight of the charity’s functions, coordinating the workflows of the Service Manager and Financial Consultant to ensure absolute alignment with board-approved goals.
• Governance & Regulatory Compliance: Act as the primary champion for statutory frameworks, ensuring full, audit-ready compliance with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), data protection (GDPR), and internal policy frameworks.
• Ultimate Safeguarding Ownership:Hold accountability for safeguarding systems, crisis protocols, and service quality benchmarks across all clinical and support operations.
• Financial Oversight & Funding Strategy:Oversee the organization’s complete financial health, budget validation, and risk mitigation. Optimize the deployment of restricted funds (e.g., Fairer Lives, Corra Foundation) and unrestricted revenue streams.
• Board Partnership:Author and present structured, evidence-based monthly performance reports, financial matrices, and risk registries to the Board of Trustees.
• External Relations:Act as the primary ambassador for HSTAR Scotland, building robust relationships with cross-sector partners, public commissioners, and grant funders to secure long-term funding pipelines.

What We Are Looking For

Essential Criteria:

• Proven leadership experience working directly with or reporting to a Board of Trustees within a regulated charity governance model.
• Strong financial oversight capabilities, including budget tracking, resource optimization, and multi-stream funding management.
• A clear track record in risk management, with the ability to identify, mitigate, and escalate operational and compliance risks.
• Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills, capable of driving synergy between operational delivery and financial administration.
• An understanding of, and deep commitment to, trauma-informed practices and ethical service environments.

Desirable Criteria:

• A successful track record in third-sector funding development, grant writing, or public sector commissioning in Scotland.
• Knowledge of the mental health, trauma provision, or violence against women sectors.
• Experience navigating organizations through structural changes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: An advanced qualification or degree in Business Administration, Economics, Non-Profit Leadership, Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Competence in Safeguarding protocols and GDPR/data protection compliance.
• Full compliance with safeguarding standards, including Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH), safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection requirements.

PETAL Support is seeking dedicated and values-driven individuals to join our Board of Trustees to help shape the future of our work supporting people bereaved by murder, culpable homicide & suicide throughout Scotland

As a Board Member, you will:

• Provide strategic direction and governance for the charity
• Ensure the organisation remains financially sound, ethical, and sustainable
• Act as an ambassador for the charity and its mission
• Contribute to key decisions that impact people bereaved by murder & suicide

This is a voluntary, unpaid role, with reasonable expenses reimbursed.

PETAL Support is a registered charity for those bereaved by murder, culpable homicide and suicide living in Scotland. Founded in 1994 PETAL Support provides practical and emotional support, advocacy, support and counselling for the families, friends, children and young people of murder, culpable homicide and suicide victims.

What you’ll do

You will be joining an ambitious team of fundraisers and communicators, passionate about our cause, and about to embark on a journey to grow our fundraised income and engagement.

As National Fundraising Growth Manager, you will provide dedicated growth capability across Alzheimer Scotland’s national fundraising portfolio. Working across established products such as Tea & Blether, Memory Walk, Shooting Stars and other participation fundraising initiatives, you will identify where growth can be achieved and help shape the plans, partnerships and routes to market that make it possible.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues in Fundraising, Communications, Corporate Fundraising, Community Fundraising and Localities, using data, insight and market awareness to reach new audiences, increase participation, build strategic partnerships and support sustainable unrestricted income growth.

What you’ll have

You will bring experience of growing participation, supporter acquisition or customer acquisition, and of delivering measurable commercial or income growth. You will be commercially minded, curious and confident building relationships with a wide range of partners and stakeholders, with strong analytical skills and the ability to use insight and data to identify growth opportunities.

You will also have excellent communication, relationship-building and influencing skills, experience managing projects and budgets, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams without direct line management responsibility. You will understand how audience growth, acquisition and insight can shape effective promotional activity, while working with communications colleagues rather than owning every delivery channel.
