Our support is delivered through various services including home-visiting and group support. The manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for Home-Start Stirling, ensuring that we continue to deliver high-quality, safe and effective support for families. The role is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the charity, working closely with the Board of Trustees to strengthen governance, develop strategy, support staff and volunteers, maintain strong partnerships and ensure the charity is well-positioned for the future. Home-Start Stirling is registered with the Care Inspectorate under the category of Housing Support Service.

We're offering an exciting opportunity to become a Fostering Practice Manager within our Scotland Glasgow Fostering Team. This is a part time position, working over 3 days reporting directly to the Operations Manager you will lead a team of skilled and passionate social workers, children's workers and our therapist ensuring they deliver support, supervision and training to foster carers, their families and young people. Your leadership will help ensure that our carers provide trauma informed care that transforms the lives of children and young people.

About Options Fife Continuing Care
At Aberlour we listen to understand what our young people want and need within our local area. Our Options Fife Continuing Care service in Glenrothes supports young people with learning disabilities and/or autism to live and thrive within the local community.
This service will be home to 4 young people aged 16 plus who will all have their own individual flat. Our rota has been drafted to suit the needs of the young people.
What we are looking for....
We are looking for a part time (25 hours, working 2 x 12.5 hour shifts per week) Young People’s Worker to join our team. You will play a fundamental role in our young people’s lives to ensure that they get the best possible experience whilst working towards goals in their care plan. Using a person-centred approach, you will provide enabling support ensuring the highest level of physical and emotional care, supporting our young people in their daily living and within the local community.
If you have an interest in working with young people, we would like to hear from you. Ideally, candidates will have social care experience, understanding of autism, complex needs and disability. You will hold, or be willing to work towards, a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above (for example: SVQ3 Care plus an HNC) together with relevant experience of working with children or young people. You must also be able to demonstrate awareness of the key elements of working with people affected by disability as well as an understanding of, and commitment to, young people’s rights.

About Aberlour Youthpoint Moray
Our Youthpoint Moray service provides help to children and young people in Moray who may be struggling with their emotions and behaviour, prompting concerns about their well-being. Our young people’s workers provide one-to-one and group work support for our children and young people, in a safe and relaxed setting. They help them to understand the issues that are affecting them, that can sometimes be the cause of their behaviour. They help them take steps to overcoming their difficulties at home, school and in the community. The team also work with other family members, parents and carers to improve relationships at home.
Aberlour Youthpoint Moray provides three services to young people in Moray; Intensive Community Support (ICS), Early Help and Mentoring and YP Zone.
The Intensive Community Support service funded by The Moray Council works closely with social work teams with young people and families to support young people and families to achieve their full potential and develop important life skills through non-formal educational activities. ICS also supports young people and families to enable positive change and improve outcomes. This is delivered via 1 to 1’s, group work, and family support.
Early Help and Mentoring service provides support to disadvantaged, excluded and vulnerable young people and their families to enable them to gain and retain control of their own lives and remain safely in their own homes and communities. Early Help and Mentoring support young people to improve their health and wellbeing, make positive and informed choices and develop their self-awareness and confidence. Early Help is delivered by Young People’s Worker’s through 1 to 1, group work and family support. Mentoring and befriending are delivered by volunteers on a 1 to 1 basis.
YP Zone provides targeted 1:1 support for young people who are affected by their own substance use through a harm reduction approach. The service offers relationship-based, strengths-focused emotional support tailored to individual needs, helping young people to better understand and reduce substance use, improve their wellbeing, and develop healthier coping strategies.
What we are looking for....
You will work 30 hours per week, across our Intensive Community Support service and your main role will be to provide one to one and group work support to young people and their parents as identified through appropriate referrals. You will plan and deliver activities and groups in partnership with young people and their parents in relation to their needs. You will work within a variety of locations in the Moray area. You will need to be able to drive and have access to a vehicle to be able to take young people out and about. The role will also involve liaising with partner agencies and entering data into Aberlour’s case recording information system.
The team will provide support both within and out with normal office hours, dependent on the needs of young people and families. This may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends. All staff are expected to take a full and active role in the delivery of the service.
