Community Energy Scotland is recruiting for an Executive Support Officer. We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and trustworthy Executive Support Officer to provide high-level administrative and strategic support to CES’ CEO and Directors, and wider Management Team on occasion. The role requires exceptional organisation, discretion, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day tasks, coordinate schedules, and ensure smooth operation of professional activities.

• £32,300 per annum (pro rata of 35 hours per week full time)

With the retirement of one of our Energy Advisors, Community Links Scotland is looking for a proactive, enthusiastic individual to help deliver our West Dunbartonshire Energy Advice project. Funded through the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme this programme supports local people who are in fuel crises by providing direct practical help and advocacy to vulnerable households.

We are looking for an individual who has experience in providing energy advice and advocacy to households.

CLS is a small organisation with a dedicated staff team of seven. We have an excellent reputation in developing and delivering projects within West Dunbartonshire and across the West of Scotland. While we are based in Clydebank, we operate very flexibly, with staff working across a number of venues – Community Hubs, Clients Offices, home and office – we anticipate that this post will work within all of these venues and will also undertake a number of home visits, as these are essential to the delivery of the project.

The West Dunbartonshire Energy Advice Project currently has three staff members: A part-time Project Lead (2 days/ week) and two Energy Advisors.

Community Enterprise Ltd is a well-established third sector support organisation with a progressive outlook and a diverse portfolio.

Demand for our services continues to grow and the sector is moving towards new and innovative models. We are therefore looking to add to our Development Team to meet that demand. The post involves delivering capacity building and business support to a wide range of clients and projects across Scotland. These can range from established social businesses to smaller voluntary sector organisations concerned about their sustainability as well as new and emerging individual social entrepreneurs. We are keen to enhance the capacity and skillset of our development team where possible by recruiting someone with experience in some or all of the following: finance and financial, impact evaluation, and marketing. The successful candidate will be able to deliver this alongside broader development work.

£38,000 f/t pa. 7.2% Workplace pension employer contribution

Hybrid working model. Minimum one day per week in West Lothian office. Travel throughout Scotland required. The post holder must hold a clean driving license.

The Corra Foundations ‘Getting Alongside Communities’ programme has now moved to a new phase and it is DAG’s time to build on the momentum already achieved. We have been planning this transition for over a year and are confident that the right person will help us to become a resilient anchor organisation that empowers local people to have a voice in their community.

About the Role:

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and passionate about community. This post will assist DAG in creating a community led structure, capable of tackling poverty, strengthening local connections and supporting people to thrive. This post will be rooted in community and will focus on supporting the development of local groups and activities, supporting local people to develop ideas and build skills adn confidence. This post will report to our Community Coordinator with support from our board.

About You:

You will be professionally qualified and have experience of working with communities and partner organisations.

You should have a strong understanding of the challenges experienced by those affected by health inequalities, social isolation and low income.

You will have experience of managing and supporting local community groups and/or projects, either on a paid or voluntary basis. You should have a non-judgemental approach and be able to form positive working relationships with a range of individuals and groups. You should be able to demonstrate an understanding of how to gather data and evidence and how this can be used to deliver outcomes and help to meet local community needs. You should be able to keep accurate records and notes that will allow you to produce up to date reports on progress and impact. You must be able to work autonomously, using good time management, organisational and communication skills.

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Funding – support local groups to apply for and manage funding, and develop their skills and confidence
• Managing budgets
• Supporting volunteers and group members to grow and develop skills, confidence and connection to their community
• Deliver workshops to targeted groups, that will include vulnerable adults and children
• Strengthening DAG Governance, through policies and training
• Build strong relationships with appropriate agencies and services
• Work alongside partners to maximise resources and address local poverty
• Support volunteers, group members and emerging leaders to develop skills and confidence
• Provide support for vulnerable community members on a one to one basis
• Engage meaningfully with stakeholders at all levels
