Established in 1978, Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre (ERCC) provides a support, information and advocacy service to all survivors aged 12 and over in Edinburgh, East Lothian and Midlothian who have experienced recent and / or historic sexual violence, including rape, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse and commercial sexual exploitation. We also work in schools and with young people across Edinburgh and the Lothians, and strategically with multi-agency partners, towards preventing sexual violence.
The post-holder will be responsible for delivering ERCC’s specialist counselling support services, including practical and advocacy support as required, to adult survivors of all genders aged 12 and over who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives, including, rape, sexual assault, child sexual abuse or commercial sexual exploitation. The post holder will be primarily providing support to survivors with a Learning Disability) and/or have a complex mental health diagnosis and/or identify as neurodiverse (autism, ADHD, etc.).
