Role
Overall Purpose
Manage the coordination and delivery of qualifications within ARC Scotland’s assessment centre, ensuring it meets all Qualifications Scotland’s requirements. Contributing to the delivery of ARC Scotland’s workplan, vision and mission.
Leadership
- Work with the Head of Accredited Training to deliver ARC Scotland’s overarching workplan.
- Provide support and guidance to the administration team.
- Recruit, induct, manage and support (as the first point of contact) the team of freelance contractors delivering high quality assessment and verification across the assessment centre.
- Coordinate the deployment of freelance contractors in the delivery of accredited qualifications across Scotland.
- Manage and facilitate the standardisation of assessment and verification activity in accordance with Qualifications Scotland’s requirements.
- Contribute to the ongoing strategic planning and development of ARC Scotland.
- Facilitate and / or contribute to relevant ARC Scotland meetings.
- Deputise for the Head of Accredited Training in their absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact between ARC Scotland and Qualifications Scotland in accordance with their requirements.
- Maintain ARC Scotland’s compliance with Qualification Scotland’s requirements.
- Be the first point of contact with Qualifications Scotland in coordinating external verification activity, approval applications and ensuring any recommendations are implemented timeously.
- Manage partnerships between ARC Scotland and customers (managing existing resources in retaining and gaining new business along with the Head of Accredited Training).
- Review, update and refresh ARC Scotland’s policies and procedures in line with current legislation and Qualifications Scotland guidelines and ensuring they are implemented.
- Ensure suitable records are maintained and updated in accordance with the requirements of Qualifications Scotland and ARC Scotland’s data management policy.
- Communicate changes and updates to and from Qualifications Scotland to all relevant parties.
- Notify Qualifications Scotland of any changes which may affect the centre’s ability to meet the quality assurance criteria.
- Carry out assessment and verification activity as required to maintain competence and quality assurance standards.
- Discuss monthly candidate progress reports with freelance assessors and verifiers and provide partner organisations with regular updates. Agree and implement remedial action where required progress has not been made.
- Monitor payment claims against assessment and verification time claimed.
- Gather, process and analyse feedback as part of the quality assurance processes within ARC Scotland. Use feedback to promote services or to address areas of improvement identified timeously.
- Support the development and implementation of communication and marketing strategies within ARC Scotland.
- Conduct any investigations required in accordance with ARC Scotland’s policies and procedures.

- Deliver training as required.
- Be flexible in approach and adaptable in managing own workload.
- Work flexible hours and be able to travel throughout Scotland as required.
- Undertake CPD to maintain competence in accordance with relevant assessment strategies, and ensure freelance contractors do the same.

Woodworking (Pentland) Group Team Leader

We are recruiting for one full-time Team Leader who shares our values and has the experience and skills to support adults with learning disabilities to participate in meaningful work within our day service. You should have the skills to manage a small staff team and co-ordinate activities within the group which meet the needs of individual members and which are in keeping with Tiphereth’s mission statement, Camphill values and the aims of the Day Service.
The post is based in the Pentland Group which carries out all aspects of woodworking, green woodwork and some grounds maintenance. Together with our members with learning disabilities, we aim to produce unique items for our annual fairs and for our community. The group works from a converted Greenkeepers Barn and is a fully equipped workshop with high quality machines, using locally sourced timber, where possible, nestled in the foothills of the Pentlands. This is complemented by an off-grid workshop space for green woodworking amongst other uses.
Experience in the field of woodworking is essential as is the confidence to share your skills. Previous experience of working with adults with learning disabilities is also essential, as is a good understanding of autism and the needs of people who use different forms of communication and confidence to work with behaviour that challenges.
Tiphereth is a Camphill community, supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism in a range of day services, supported living, residential care, and social enterprises.
Tiphereth Camphill in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced and creative Administrator to join our community. We provide a range of support services for adults with learning disabilities and autism, with a focus on building meaningful relationships and community.
You will play a key role in our busy office being the first point of contact, in person, on the phone and by email. You will act as a key interface between our staff, members, parents and carers, other organisations and the wider community. Hospitality and preparation for events plays a large part in the role.
Our ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude coupled with experience of working in a busy office environment. Most of all you will have a flexible and adaptable personality with a willingness to work as part of a team, and embrace working in a vibrant community setting that values each person equally.
The role is varied and includes coordinating and supporting meetings, training, events and exhibitions as well as general cleaning and facility management, maintaining stock of office essentials.
Primarily based within our community at Tiphereth, the role may require off site working at times. On occasions evening and weekend work out with normal hours to support community events.
Ideally you will have a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar setting.

Deafblind Scotland is the specialist charity working with deafblind people or those at risk of developing a second or dual sensory loss. Our ambitions are high for people with sensory loss, particularly those who are deafblind and we are therefore at the cutting edge of finding ways to support them to lead their most meaningful lives. The Carers Advice Project is a support service for carers, and those carers may themselves have a sensory impairment as well as or instead of the person they care for. The project operates in Fife to support people to access their rights so they can have a better quality of life and to reduce socio-economic and health inequalities. This post will also involve travel across Fife with occasional travel required to & from our office in Kirkintilloch.
Deafblind Scotland provides information & specialist knowledge in many inclusive forms of communication relied on by people with sensory loss including Braille/Moon, BSL/Tactile BSL, Deafblind Manual & Audio.
The project officer will work with the carers affected by sensory impairment within this project which is part of our Connect2Support Programme. Overall ensuring the carers affected by sensory impairment, who are amongst the most disadvantaged in society, are provided with specialist support which enables them & those they care for to access their rights and navigate the systems, services and support that can improve their lives.
Support Worker - Social Enterprise

Fortune Works is one of Scotland’s largest social enterprises for people with learning disability. The service supports around 120 people with learning disability to play a full role in the life of the community through provision of in-house economic activity and social support, working in partnership with local community organisations in Drumchapel and north-west Glasgow. Fortune Works is part of Enable Glasgow, a long-established member-led organisation which works with people with learning disability and their carers in the city.
The Support Worker-Social Enterprise duties will include helping to create, facilitate and maintain positive person centred activities which support people with a learning disability to play a worthwhile economic role as valued members of the local community.
The successful candidate will provide a high quality of care and support for service users with a range of learning disabilities and will encourage participation in group activities to support people to gain skills and confidence. The applicant should have experience of programme planning and review systems.
