Job Purpose:

To co-ordinate and develop the services of Fool On and support the Board to realise their ambitions for the organisation.

Main Duties:

Develop and maintain quality administrative and financial systems and procedures for the effective operation of Fool On, under the direction of the Board.

Keep accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure related documentation is kept.

Promote & develop Fool On’s Services.

What will you be doing?

• Plan, deliver and evaluate direct services (on an individual or group work basis) for babies, children, their families, carers and adults maintaining professional practice standards as outlined in legislation, guidance, equal opportunity practices and consistent with NSPCC standards and procedures.
• Work with community groups in consultation, co-production to develop resources and assets that meet the needs of their local communities and maximise the quality and effectiveness of the NSPCC National Scotland Hub.
• Hold case accountability for a number of cases some of which may be complex, ensuring all safeguarding practice and case recording conforms to NSPCC practice standards and guidance. Provide professional advice to internal and external enquiries.
• Liaise and work positively with key stakeholders to maintain excellent working relationships, deliver effective services and attend a range of internal and external meetings. It is important to also be able to respectfully challenge where necessary to promote the best interest of children.
• Promote the participation of babies, children, young people and their families in the planning, decision making and evaluation of the NSPCC National Scotland Hub work.
• Actively prepare for and participate in supervision, team meetings, briefings and training events and contribute to the development of learning materials or other resources.
• Take responsibility for developing and improving your own professional knowledge and skills.
• Work with fundraising staff to promote the work of the team and the organisation to various audiences including supporters, fundraisers and volunteers.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a talented Health and Wellbeing Coordinator, (s) to join our established team at the Accommodation & Support Service in Glasgow. As we embark on the next stage of our journey delivering truly outstanding, highly personalised care and support services.

Our specialist team support people in our homeless service who have complex needs, such as mental health, addiction and physical needs, with a focus on engagement, and harm reduction using a trauma informed approach. Our aim is to support people to develop skills to move onto a positive destination, and become part of a community, giving them the support whilst with us that they require to improve their overall wellbeing. We work closely with partners in health, social work, and 3rd sector to try and achieve the best possible outcomes for anyone that we support. We see people for who they are and work with them to help them best achieve their goals.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience of working within health and social care and demonstrate an innovative and empathetic approach to delivering and leading services.

Have a passion and commitment to delivering person-centred support with a trauma informed approach.

Have experience of working as part of a team, or lone working and experience of coproduction of support, to enable individuals to meet and achieve their personal outcomes.

Be able to assist in delivering an outstanding service and have experience or knowledge of the effects homelessness and addiction can bring to individuals.

Be able to work a variety of shifts as we are operational 24/7 365 days of the year to meet the needs of the people we support

Job Purpose:

• Lead and develop a team of Support Workers to provide personalised, responsive, and high-quality care
• Maintain an active practice by continuing to provide personal care and domiciliary tasks that respond to the needs of the carer and the service user that includes all age ranges, conditions, disabilities or illness.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

First Line Management

In addition to providing direct contact with clients and maintaining the role of a Support Worker, the Senior Support Worker will provide first line management to a small team.

Duties include:

• Leading, coaching and developing the team to provide high quality, personalised care
• Developing, maintaining and reviewing service and individual’s care plans and outcomes
• Providing supervision to team members and associated duties (e.g. identifying training needs, performance management support, reviewing holiday requests, etc.)
• Supporting service co-ordination for new and existing clients and their workers
• Working closely with other Senior Support Workers to meet the needs of the service and respective teams
• Liaise with Care at Home Manager and other staff within the organisation to support the organisational goals
• Assessing and developing client care plans and reviews, ensuring information is accurate, up-to-date, and documentation and related processes are adhered to
