To meet our objectives, the expectations of our partners, and to play our part in responding to the twin crises of climate change and biodiversity loss, we are pleased to be recruiting for a Head of Programme Management. This role will be critical in driving the implementation and impact of ambitious programmes and pilots that regenerate and create sustainable places to deliver environmental and social benefits.

The Head of Programme Management will work closely with the Senior Management Team to ensure work is managed, monitored and impact is reported on time and effectively. You will seek opportunities to grow the organisation, working with the Operations Directorate to scale programmes of work.

West Lothian Climate Action Network (WLCAN) Hub is one of Scotland’s 24 regional Climate Hubs, funded by the Scottish Government. We envision a West Lothian where everyone has access to clean, affordable energy, where our communities are resilient to the impacts of climate change, and where our community are all working together to create a more sustainable future. WLCAN is a network of 89 local organisations working to create a more sustainable future for West Lothian, our members are mostly in the voluntary sector, with some businesses and education sector. The Role

The Community Development Worker/s will play an important role in shaping climate action in the region. Working alongside the Senior Development Worker and the Communications Worker, the Community Development Worker will engage the public, support WLCAN members and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders.

WLCAN organises regular networking and training events for WLCAN members and the public, the community development worker will be given responsibility for organising a portion of these events. They will also be given responsibility for recruitment and support of volunteers.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about community based approaches to climate action and has strong experience of community engagement, training and event organisation.

Greener Kirkcaldy is a community-led charity working locally to bring people together, take positive action on the climate emergency and support people through fuel poverty and food insecurity. We deliver a range of projects, events and skills training to achieve the needs and goals of local people – building resilience as a community and working towards a future where everyone can live better and tread more lightly on our planet.

Based in the heart of Kirkcaldy – with a community building, training kitchen, bike shop and garden – we carry out activities across Kirkcaldy and work with partners to deliver projects across Fife.

We lead the Cosy Kingdom partnership, a free and impartial energy advice service available to all tenants and homeowners across Fife. We help people save energy, stay warm while spending less on fuel and develop skills and confidence to take more control of their energy use and bills. Our work plays a vital role supporting people in, or at risk of, fuel poverty and makes an important contribution to tackling carbon emissions and climate change.

The Role

We are looking for an energy advisor to join our team.

This role sits alongside a team of dedicated energy advisors working throughout Mid and West Fife. Your day will be varied and rewarding. You will deliver energy advice to householders in their own homes, by telephone or at drop-in energy advice surgeries. You will deliver practical advice and support to help people stay warm and well at home, empower them to take control of their energy bills and make their homes more climate friendly. You will connect people with the right support by referring on to a range of support options and partner agencies.

Our energy advisors deliver events, talks and workshops to raise the profile of the service and educate people on saving energy. You will also train frontline workers on how to ‘spot and refer’ people in, or at risk of, fuel poverty.

We don’t expect you to know everything from the start. We provide a supportive three-month induction and full training, including a City & Guilds Energy Advice qualification.

Since 2011, Edinburgh Garden Partners (EGP) has developed a unique approach to addressing social isolation in our communities. By matching volunteers who are looking for a space to grow, with Garden Owners who have a space to share, our garden partnerships create meaningful and lasting social connections between people of different ages and backgrounds. The shared interest in gardening and exchange of skills, knowledge and life experience make our garden partnerships so special and rewarding for everyone involved.

In October 2025, we gathered to renew our strategy. We remain committed to our Vision, Mission and Values which make EGP who we are and have revised 5 key workstreams which we structure our work around - these will develop the quality, depth and strength of the work we do, and are used to frame our board meeting agendas and reporting structures.

We are hoping to recruit two new trustees to join our current board of six. Trustees are required to attend quarterly full board meetings (usually held on weekday evenings) and to actively contribute to sub groups between these. We are particularly interested in hearing from people with experience in the 3rd sector, health and social care and IT. However, this is not a requirement. Most of all, we are looking for people who are committed to the values and ethos of EGP, and who have the time and energy to contribute to our thriving community of volunteers and garden owners.

The bringing together of people with different life experiences is at the core of what makes EGP successful. Our Garden Partnerships represent a broad range of diversity, with many different combinations of age, disability, sex, religion, race, colour, class, income, education, sexuality and gardening knowledge both represented and flourishing because of the differences. This is what EGP is all about.
