The Hynish Trust is recruiting a Sustainability Development Officerto strengthen organisational resilience and environmental practice as part of Lighting Up the Hynish Shore Station — a two‑year programme celebrating the Skerryvore Lighthouse and its future potential. You’ll work closely with a new Heritage Preservation Officer to deliver integrated sustainability and heritage outcomes for the Hynish estate and wider community.

The Kilmadock Development Trust (KDT) has secured funding for a Project Officer 2 years on a part-time basis for two days a week/ 14 hours a week.

We are looking for someone with relevant qualifications and experience to work with the KDT, involving engagement with the local Community Council, the Community, external stakeholders and funders on community projects. Initially this will involve completing some projects that have been started and are at various stages. Also identifying funding streams to allow major community projects to progress. The suitable candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, excellent interpersonal, presentation and IT skills. They will be proactive, able to work on their own initiative, provide reports and plans working strategically. Salary £14,560 per annum, position will be based from the Centre, but homeworking will be considered as appropriate. The position requires someone educated to degree level and/or previous experience in these areas.

The Development Worker will support the delivery of the Our Garnock Valley Plan by enabling community-led action and supporting partnership working across the Garnock Valley.

This is a community development role informed by CLD principles, focused on supporting people, groups and organisations to develop ideas, build confidence and capacity, and progress agreed priorities in ways that are inclusive, collaborative and place-based.

Strategic direction and priority-setting sit with the Our Garnock Valley Steering Group. The Development Worker’s role is to support the progression of this agreed direction by working alongside communities, third sector and public sector partners to turn shared ambitions into practical next steps.

The Garnock Valley Locality Partnership Working Groupcommissioned a community engagement exercise, which

identified community development opportunities within the Garnock Valley. Following on from this, an exciting community and local authority collaboration developed the Our Garnock Valley Plan.

The Working Group now require a Development Worker to help realise the recommendations in the plan. The Development Worker will operate within the framework established by the GV2023 and Our Garnock Valley documents, serving as a pivotal force for change in the Garnock Valley communities.

Adopting a Place Based approach to working with communities, within a locality context, this role requires an individual with a proactive attitude and a knack for creative problem-solving. The scope of the role is comprehensive, encompassing project management, community and stakeholder empowerment, wider engagement, and strategic planning.

We are looking for 2 Youth Work Leads to deliver youth sessions, clubs and activities for our young people and families within YoMo services across Glasgow the delivery will be varied and will always be driven by the needs of young people and the community.

There will also be the remit of devising and implementing new projects and clubs as guided by funding requirements and service user’s needs. These will include building and creating programs that provide accreditation through youth and SQA awards that build skills for young people’s future employment.

You will work in partnership with local organisations, social work and schools and build up strong positive community links. You will work to enhance the lives of young people by ensuring activities are provided to develop their mental, emotional, physical and social well-being needs.

You will have the responsibility of helping with fundraising drives and initiatives.

You will also be committed to ongoing personal development and undertake training or other professional development activities as required.

All other reasonable duties will be required to be undertaken as and when required and agreed with the Project Manager.

Full time post 35 hours per week, with hours worked varying over days, nights and weekend duties as required.
