The Canmore Trust (SC051511) is a suicide prevention and postvention charity with big aims and a big heart. We work with individuals, communities, workplaces, schools, colleges and universities touched by suicide to support those in need. We train those impacted by suicide to become “Experienced Friends” – people who have developed the skills to walk with others on the journey of suicide grief.
What we are looking for…
As a result of significant expansion of the Trust, the current CEO is moving to an ambassadorial and special project’s role. We are therefore looking to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer who will shape the strategic approach of The Canmore Trust and oversee the delivery of the Strategic Action Plan, ensuring the sustainable development of the organisation. This role is based in our Stirling office but will allow for some hybrid working.

What we are looking for…
We are looking to appoint an experienced Business Support Assistant. You will support The Canmore Trust team with administration and operational tasks including event planning. This role is based in our Stirling office but will allow for some hybrid working. The post is available to start immediately.
From September 2026 and initially for three years
Due to the expiry of the term of office of the current Chair, COSCA (Counselling & Psychotherapy in Scotland) needs a new Chair to provide strategic direction and governance.
As Scotland’s professional body for counselling and psychotherapy, COSCA aims to advance and support all forms of counselling, psychotherapy, and the use of counselling skills, build confidence in counselling and psychotherapy and protect the public in its use of services.
The Chair will be a facilitator, a diplomat, a communicator, a coach, a leader and a listener. The Chair will:
- attend and chair Board meetings (4 per annum)
- provide leadership and guide the members of the Board to set overall policy and targets and monitor outcomes
- understand the voluntary sector, governance of a charity, charity law and the funding of charities
- be committed to the advancement of counselling and psychotherapy and enthusiasm for COSCA’s work
- be a strategic thinker, be able to communicate well and work collaboratively with colleagues and the Chief Executive
- be willing to devote time and effort to the organisation and represent COSCA where appropriate.
Out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
This is an exciting opportunity to become Chief Executive Officer at The Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre, Perth & Kinross. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled CEO to lead RASAC P&K’s skilled and dynamic team and work collaboratively with our Board of Directors to deliver the organisation’s strategic plan and objectives.
The role requires an experienced and effective leader, with the ability to lead across both the strategic and operational work of the organisation. You will have a clear understanding of and commitment to trauma-informed, feminist management and leadership and be a person with enthusiasm, determination and vision.
As our CEO you must be an experienced manager with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have a track record in strategic planning, people management, fundraising and charity finance management. You will be able to provide a strong visible presence to statutory partners as well as all stakeholders, engendering trust and confidence and giving clarity to our vision and mission.

Held in our Hearts is a small but mighty and growing Scottish charity providing baby loss counselling and peer support to families. We have over 40 years’ experience of offering compassionate bereavement care to individuals and families and working closely with a range of partners including the NHS, Scottish Government and the third sector.
Our values of empathy, connection and love underpin all that we do and guide us as we continue to grow and expand our services and reach. Our support services include counselling, one to one peer support, our innovative early intervention Hospital to Home service, group support, and events.
In recent years, we have expanded our team and extended our geographical reach to bereaved families from Edinburgh and the Lothians to Fife, Forth Valley and the Highlands.
Role background:
Hospital to Home is an opt out service which supports families to transition from the hospital setting to being back in the community. 6-8 sessions are offered, to support and guide families in the very early days of their loss, enhancing existing community services to provide long term peer bereavement support.
We will work alongside NHS colleagues to provide a more comprehensive and cohesive transition from the hospital to home setting. Early intervention, through Hospital to Home, will highlight and identify emerging issues associated with complicated grief and trauma, and families can be offered long term support through peer support or counselling. This early support will reduce the isolation and loneliness that bereaved parents feel, improving family’s long term mental and physical wellbeing and their ability to grieve with empathic support in place in the community.
